A week of FA Cup ties continues tonight and team news will be key before placing any bets this evening.

Chelsea must pick themselves up after EFL Cup disappointment at the weekend but Leeds United could be dangerous opponents this evening.

The Blues look fragile while the Championship side are flying at the moment and will want to prove they’re ready to compete against teams in the top flight.

You couldn’t back Chelsea with any confidence at 1/2 and if Daniel Farke goes strong with his Leeds side they could be worth siding with on the Asian Handicap +1.0 at 2.060.

Reports suggest Jurgen Klopp could make up to nine changes to his Liverpool side from Sunday as he attempts to cope with some major selection issues.

Opponents Southampton have gone off the boil recently and seem to be on a comedown after that long unbeaten run.

Ordinarily the Reds would be bigger than 13/20 but on the back of the high of lifting silverware on Sunday they’re probably a bit of value at that price at Anfield.

Rangers‘ title credentials will be given a stern test at Rugby Park where they lost on the opening day of the season. That of course was under Michael Beale but they can do no wrong under Phillipe Clement these days.

A 5-0 thumping of Hearts proved they can cope with the pressure of expectation and a win in Ayrshire tonight could be a significant step towards the title.

Killie’s home record is the best outside of the top two and Derek McInnes has his side in good shape and they’re 7/1 to pull off another surprise result.

But Rangers are hard to back against these days. Only Celtic have beaten them under Clement and confidence is running throughout the squad. Doubling them up with Liverpool tonight pays 138/100.

Celtic turned in a better second half performance to salvage the three points at Fir Park on Sunday but Brendan Rodgers must be scratching his head as to why his team can’t perform like that for a full 90 minutes.

The Hoops are badly in need of a confidence-boosting performance and fo course the three points against Dundee.

Celtic corners have been good to us this seasons but they’ve been a bit less consistent of late. However, Adam Idah looks set to start after his two goal haul at Fir Park. That could see Celtic go a little more direct and get more balls in to the box this evening. With that in mind the 11/10 on offer for over four first half Celtic corners appeals. They hit five in their last match against the Dark Blues at Celtic Park.

There’s the small matter of the Edinburgh Derby at Tynecastle tonight as ever there’s plenty at stake for either side.

Hearts look like they’ve got third place sewn up whereas Hibs still have some work to do if they’re to secure a top six finish.

Failure to make the top half in time for the league split could mean curtains for manager Nick Montgomery but a win at Tynecastle would certainly boost his cause.

However, the Jambos have been in top form, that was until a heavy defeat at Ibrox at the weekend. That shouldn’t derail their pursuit of third place and at 10/11 they look a solid bet to claim the bragging rights in the capital.

About the Killie v Rangers match:

Rangers have lost the corner match bet on their last 2 away trips, the last one being St Johnstone!

Killie are good for corners at home. They’re 9/4 to win the corner count tonight, 11/10 with a +2 handicap. Might be worth a punt.

    Mitoma
    Ferguson
    Welbeck
    Veltman
    Gilmour

    Hinshelwood
    March

Wolves to score 2 + goals at evs seems a strong bet.

Swiss Cup tonight and lower league Delemont entertain top flight side Servette, they’ve already dumped top flight sides Luzern & St Gallen out of the cup. They’ve scored in their last 42 home games going back to August 2021,they’ve also conceded in 32 of those 42 games. Few angles worth considering

    Delemont to score 17/20 NAP

    BTTS & 2.5gls 23/20

    Forest v Man Utd
    Forest double chance at 4/7

    Chelsea v Leeds
    Leeds double chance at 6/4

    Liverpool v Southampton
    Southampton double chance at 6/4

Taking the underdogs not to lose at 9/1
Also taking all 3 to win at 100/1

Man Utd didn’t fare to well the last time they visited Forest and they are without Luke Shaw and their superstar striker. United will have one eye on the derby at the weekend which has to be their priority.

Chelsea welcome old enemies Leeds and you’d expect the Chelsea manager to rotate after his players complained of being tired after the showdown with Liverpool last Sunday. Leeds are full of energy and could give Leeds a game here.

Liverpool host Southampton and I think Klopp plays a very weakened team on the basis if we win we win if not it doesn’t matter, I just don’t see Klopp adding to many first teamers to the mix tonight with all the Injuries. The odds suggest that and Southampton can take advantage.
    Best of luck

United will go full strength tonight as it’s our last chance of a pot this season, so I really don’t think the team selection will have an eye on the derby at the weekend.. even at full strength I wouldn’t be overly confident mind.. BoL with the selections

    • maccathered 3 months ago

No your right even if they were to go as strong as possible you wouldn’t be confident of them winning tonight. If United are going to knock City off their perch within the next 3 years then you’d think Champions League qualification would be top priority this season, I mean if they don’t Qualify then who’s going to want to sign for United, they are going to struggle to attract players as it is, even harder without Champions League football.

    Afternoon gents,

Really thought City would rack up loads of corners last night but got it totally wrong with 6 goals versus a measly 2 bloody corners 😔
