There were one or two surprises in last night's Champions League Qualifiers and there are a few tricky looking ties at play this evening.

Ferencvaros made it to the group stages two seasons ago and were unfortunate to go out at the Play-Off stage last season so they'll have ambitions of returning to the top table, especially with either Qarabag or FC Zurich lying in wait should they progress in their tie against Slovan Bratislava.

They won the league at a canter last season and put up a decent showing in a tough Europa League group. They should claim a first-leg lead tonight, albeit at a short price of 12/25.

We can double them up with Hibs to score two or more at home to Morton. The Hibees returned to form with a 4-1 over Bonnyrigg on Sunday, following a 1-0 defeat at Falkirk. That's now nine goals in their three League Cup matches and the Easter Road will be expecting a few more tonight against a Morton side that have already lost 2-0 to League One Clyde.

It's hard to ignore the Women's European Championships at the moment and the match of the tournament so far takes place tonight at the Amex Stadium when two pre-tournament favourites meet. Hosts England have sailed through their group, winning all three games, scoring 14 in the process and conceding none.

Tonight's opponents Spain have been less convincing, needing a last-minute goal against Denmark to secure second place in Group B. The sides fought out a 0-0 draw in February and Spain's lack of firepower could be their undoing tonight.

2021 Ballon d'Or Féminin winner Alexia Putellas misses out, as does former Barcelona Ladies' striker Jennifer Hermoso so it's advantage England with a home crowd and swelling momentum the Lionesses should be in good shape to progress inside 90 minutes at 1/1 with SBK.

  • England Women to win 1/1 SBK
  • Ferencvaros win & Hibs to score 2+ 10/11 SBK

I don’t understand 1/1 and 10/11. What does it mean in decimal? How to convert in decimal values?

    Morning all,

Two winners with England’s women team last time out so hopefully as much luck this time. Quarter finals are starting, and the games are a lot tougher to call.

One line that I think stands out though for tonight is, Over 24.5 shots in the game (Evens @ Unibet).

England have posted good numbers of shots in their group games this tournament, (15, 25 & 27). They are favourites tonight, so I’d expect them to be posting numbers in the high teens.

Spain have also posted good numbers, (32, 12 & 17). The outshot the Germans despite loosing 2-0. I can see both teams contributing to the shooting tonight. Hopefully we get a team chasing which would bode well for this bet.

Hibs will be looking to steam roller hapless Greenock Morton tonight to cement qualification from their league cup group. After their slip up at Falkirk, Hibs scored 4 at Bonyrigg and hit Clyde for 5 at Easter road. Morton are struggling in this competition so far losing on pens to Falkirk, then losing 2-0 to League 1 Clyde – scoring 0 goals in the process. It’s hard to see anything past a convincing Hibs win; they should hit at least 2 goals here, especially at home.

England women look to continue their good run and I’ve found a bet builder angle I really like to push this double up towards even money. Despite England scoring 14 goals in their 3 group games, I fancy this game to be quite cagey and perhaps low scoring but with England doing most of the attacking. So I’ve gone for England double chance (it would be a huge shock if they lost in 90 mins, especially with Spain having both key attackers missing) along with corners and goal kicks. England have forced an incredible 48 goal kicks in their 3 games so far. 17,17 and 14. They play with plenty of width, overlapping full backs and wings who like to take players on and get balls in. You’d have to back them to get just 2 corners and force Spain in to just 5 goal kicks, especially with the amount of attacking they usually do. Spain were very lucky to even qualify from their group, needing a 91st minute goal against Denmark to progress.

Spain have conceded 2+ corners in 2/3 games so far (the game they didn’t was against hapless Finland) and conceded 5 goal kicks against Germany and Denmark. They even conceded 3 to a really poor Finnish team. You’d have to be confident of England getting just 2 more than a bunch of part timers. This bet would have landed with ease in all 3 of England’s games so far and I’m backing it to land again to help bring home the double.

    Good luck all 👍🏻

I’ve decided to throw in this NB as well. I fancy England to do a lot of attacking but maybe the goals won’t come until late. Therefore resulting in plenty of corners and Spain goal kicks.

    Sutjeska vs Klaksvik

I’m wary of this one as it’s an away tie and can’t claim to know much about Montenegrin football, but feel there’s value in the Faroese teams in these competitions so will have a few small stakes. I can see Sutjeska have sold quite a few of their players who were hitting goals last season (defensive mid was their top scorer apparently, now away too).
I have an interest in Klaksvik so can’t resist having something on at good prices and hopefully they deliver tonight and it isn’t a tedious first leg. I could see Klaksvik doing a number on Sutjeska at home next week just like they did against Bodo though.

    Klaksvik 5+ corners @ 1/1 (skybet)

    BTTS @ 1/1 (bet365)

    Klaksvik over 1.5tgs @ 9/4 (bet365)
