ENGLAND sit top of Group C heading into the final game against Slovenia tonight but fans are far from happy after two underwhelming displays from Gareth Southgate's men.
The Three Lions started Euro 2024 as favourites to lift the trophy but have fallen behind France and Germany in the betting on the evidence of their 1-0 win over Serbia and 1-1 draw with Denmark.
They are already secured a last-16 slot so the pressure's off a little but slipping up tonight could see them face hosts Germany next so Southgate will be determined to rack up another three points.
However, it won't be easy against a Slovenian side who are unbeaten so far and, after battling out two draws, Matjaz Kek's men will be looking to avoid defeat once more to sneak into the last 16.
England v Slovenia Top Betting Tips
Slovenia boss Kek played defensively in the clash with Denmark and I'd imagine he will try to frustrate an England side that has struggled to create chances so far at Euro 2024.
That makes me think this could be a tough watch and the bookies agree, with under 2.5 goals priced at just 5/6 by Betfred. To boost those odds, try backing England to win after a level first half at 11/4. Going for the half-time draw on its own also appeals as that as priced 11/8.
Benjamin Sesko will offer the biggest threat for Slovenia and the RB Leipig star looks good at 10/11 just to have an effort on target.
Denmark vs Serbia Top Tips
The other Group C game should be more entertaining as Serbia need to go for a win, having banked just a point from their first two games.
A third successive draw for Denmark will be enough to secure second place in the group if England beat Slovenia but I'd imagine Kasper Hjulmand will be looking for the win too.
Combining BTTS with over 2.5 goals pays evens and that looks worth a punt while Denmark's goal hero against England, Morten Hjulmand, is overpriced at 4/1 for a shot on target.
France vs Poland Top Tips
Group D also comes to a conclusion tonight and France's misfiring attack should finally spark into life against a Poland team who have already been eliminated.
The Poles can't qualify after losing to the Dutch and Austria, with their defence breached five times across those two matches. France's only goal so far has been an OG but they've been creating chances and Kylian Mbappe looks set to return to the fray with his protective mask.
Backing Didier Deschamps' men to score in both halves pays 9/10 while a French win with over 2.5 goals is priced at 17/20.
If Marcus Thuram gets the nod to start up front ahead of Olivier Giroud once more, he looks decent value at 6/4 for anytime scorer.
Netherlands vs Austria Top Tips
The other Group D game should be an absolute cracker as an impressive Austrian side take on the dangerous Dutch.
Austria brought up one of Friday's Super Singles by beating Poland and were well worth a 3-1 victory that has pretty much sealed their place in the knockout stages already.
Having banked four points, the Netherlands are already through but they will be looking to finish second or higher in the group to get a more favourable tie in the last 16.
That makes me think this should be a great watch, especially with Ralf Rangnick committed to his high-press, high-energy style of play. Combining BTTS and over 2.5 goals pays 23/20 for this one.
Konrad Laimer has popped up everywhere for the Austrians so far and the Bayern Munich midfielder appeals at 11/4 for an effort on target here.
