Aside from Cup football in Spain and Italy there’s slim pickings for tonight’s bets so let’s go Dutch and focus on Ajax’s plight at the foot of the Dutch Eredivisie.

The four-time European champions are enduring a season from hell, two points adrift at the bottom of the table with just five points from their opening eight matches.

There looked like there was some light at the end of the tunnel on Sunday but despite leading twice at runaway leaders PSV Eindhoven they eventually lost 5-2 to stay rooted to the bottom.

Tonight they play Volendam who are just two places above them so it’s the perfect chance for the Amsterdam giants to kick-start their season. Defeat is unthinkable.

Despite just one win this season the hosts are just 2/7 to win – too short to get on board with with but Ajax goals could provide profit tonight. They’ve scored five in their last two outings and considering they can’t keep a clean sheet will no doubt need to rack up a few to secure the three points.

Volendam have netted in each of their last five including three in their last match. Over 2.5 is 2/7 and Over 3.5 is just 4/6.

So instead, get on board with an overdue Ajax win and for them to score four or more for a fourth time this season at 7/4.

I see Ten Hag is just 11/8 to be next manager to leave at skybet If they lose to Fulham on Sat I reckon he’ll go. That was Newcastle’s second win in 51 years at Old Trafford last night with 8 changes to the team. I would of never backed Newcastle with them kind of changes so anyone who did well done.

He’l be gone very soon no doubt about that

    • newts68 7 months ago

United also made 7 changes. It’s not the manager it’s the owners the place is riddled from top to bottom.
If you work for a company whose owners milk that company it passes down to the employers
He was specifically asked to sort the discipline out and 2/3 players have seen their arse. Rashford is a disgrace as is Fernandez they should both be transfer listed but they won’t they’ll sack the manager as per usual
The club is rotten to the core

    • maccathered 7 months ago

It’s the manager he’s the one that coaches the players so it’s all down to him I’m afraid. Ten Hag has spent 411 million quid since he took charge so he got all the players he wanted, his treatment of players he has made very public and he’s done himself no favours at all. The owners have backed every manager they have had financially in the transfer market so you can’t blame the owners. The manager is supposed to put a structure in place Ten Hag has failed to do that, he’s simply not a very good manager.

    • Deano86 7 months ago

Again your wrong the club is supposed to put a structure in place not the manager , like newts said the club is rotten to the core.

£411 million of funds generated by Manchester United not a penny of The Glazers money. They only take
It’s a vicious circle they create.
      Appoint a new manager
Spend millions on player without doing any homework on them
Things start well with new manager then it goes pear shaped
Use the media to create a noise about said manager
      Sack him
      Then repeat the cycle
There is no structure within the club rotten to the core.
I agree he hasn’t done himself any favours with the way he’s gone public but he did send Sancho on a fitness programme to try get him right but Sancho has done Jack shit since performance wise.
Also the way De Geah was treated was disgraceful
      But that’s the clubs fault.
And if it is Ten Hagg then it’s the club or The Gkazers who appointed him so the book stops there
Luckily for you Macca they’re here for the foreseeable future so them 20 titles we have won’t be getting added to for a long long time

Jurgen Klopp came to Liverpool and put a structure in place, hired sporting directors etc etc and now do some of the best business in the game, look at Graveberch for an example. When Klopp first came in the reds were on tour in America and Jurgen Klopp sent new signing Sakho home, he never played for Liverpool again, Klopp didn’t make any noise about that unlike Ten Hag who frankly is out of his depth.

    • maccathered 7 months ago

Deano if a club is supposed to put a structure in place then what is the role of a manager?? years ago managers managed everything from the purchasing of players right down to the training, why doesn’t Ten Hag hire a sporting director??? Jurgen Klopp had a meeting a few days ago with a potential new sporting director, if the role of a manager isn’t to put a structure in place then why is Jurgen Klopp doing it.

    • Deano86 7 months ago

Klopps forever moaning mate don’t give me that it’s just Liverpool have got their house in order from top to bottom unlike United , Ten Hag probably isn’t the answer the point is its the same story at United no matter who the manager is and that comes from leadership from the top.

      2
    • Deano86 7 months ago

The role of a manager is to manage the team , for example the sancho scenario the rashford rubbish , antony crap i could go on , these are club matters that the club should be sorting but as there’s no leadership from the top its down to Ten hag when he should be only concentrating on the team , its a complete mess

    Sat
    Everton v Brighton
Everton to win at 11/5 (NAP) b365
It was the derby a few weeks back and you could see with the performance they put in that day that Everton had turned a corner. Everton then beat West ham last week away from home then followed that up with a convincing win over Burnley in the pop cup. 11/5 on Everton to win this game is way to big, we know how good Brighton can be but surely they will have one eye on their European fixture away to Ajax midweek.

    Newcastle v Arsenal
Newcastle to win at 9/5 b365
red card in the game at 3/1 b365
Newcastle will be in good spirits after they beat Man Utd away in the pop cup whilst Arsenal got mauled by West Ham and the way Arsenal played it looked like the pop cup was beneath them. Newcastle will be absolutely rocking in what will be a tough game for the visitors, expect fireworks here and a red card.
    Best of luck

DNB Everton v Brighton 5/4 seems a safer way in on that line. Brighton are a bit off it this season but I’m not sure they are that far off it

Everton at home should be a difficult fixture for any team now that Dyche has got them playing and I include all the top teams as well. There’s value at 11/5 obviously you could go other ways on the betting front with bet builders etc etc.

    Evening gents,

Got the Nap up again with what ended up an easy Geordie brace – nothing doing on the booking bets though…don’t think the Utd players could be arsed !

    Tonight – quick post:

    BOLIVAR VS. REAL TOMAYAPO (9.30pm)

Perhaps gone are the big whuppings at height in La Paz and, despite so many good bets down the years, I’ve been stung a couple of times in the last year but it’s a market that owes me very little and I’m happy to hunker down and welcome a corner bonanza back at reduced stakes…
