THE wait is almost over – two more days then the football marathon begins.
I'd picked out my main selections a number of weeks ago and with the aid of the @welovebetting World Cup magazine (an absolute must-have) I’ve three solid selections.
The bookies have gone all out in terms of markets and there are some crackers out there. I’m a big fan of the group betting and how far a team will progress.
With teams knowing who they’ll likely face if they qualify it makes it a bit easier to work out who has the easiest passage to progress.
Sky Bet have their usual specials and there are some really attractive ones – England for example should meet Poland or Colombia in the last 16 if they manage to navigate through that (which would be a good result) then it’s home time I’m afraid as they’ll likely face Germany or Brazil in the quarter-finals.
There are probably 3-4 teams with a realistic chance of winning this, one country who I am happy to lay is Spain as Brazil, France and Germany all look much stronger
For big hitters back England, Brazil and Portugal to qualify from their groups at 8-15.
