After Arsenal opened up a four-point gap at the top of the Premier League its all about the chasing pack today.
Ange Postecoglou will have 10 players missing for their trip to Manchester City as he attempts to avoid four straight defeats in the league for the first time since 2004.
That’s reflected in the 2/7 odds on the home win, City would’ve been nowhere near that price in this fixture a few weeks ago. It's hard to see anything other than a home but they're too short to back at those odds.
Liverpool have been ticking along quietly this season and should be comfortable against Fulham this afternoon at Anfield where they’ve lost just one of the last 48 matches in the league.
Fulham have a woeful record at Liverpool, scoring just four goals in 16 Premier League visits.
It’s just 1/4 on the Reds win. The 5/4 on a win to nil appeals with Alisson will be missing in goals which could cause some doubt in the backline so look to corners as a way to profit.
Fulham have the second lowest corner count on the road with 3.43 per match, while Liverpool boast the third highest at home, 8.33. In a game that Liverpool will dominate they should beat the -3.5 Asian Handicap at even money (2.00).
Aston Villa have been flawless at home but they’ve been a real mixed bag away from home. If they’ve aspirations of finishing in the top four they need to win games like this afternoon’s at Bournemouth.
The Cherries stunned Newcastle in their last home match but have lost to Spurs, Arsenal and Wolves at the Vitality and could be vulnerable today. Villa at even money looks the call.
In Scotland, Rangers failed to capitilise on Celtic’s slip up to Motherwell last week so the Hoops have the chance again to go 11 clear of the rivals if only for an hour or two.
A trip to St Johnstone usually yields three points for the Bhoys and they can win without conceding at 10/11 at McDiarmid Park.
St Mirren make the short trip to Ibrox in search of a win that could restart their season. The Buddies have lost four of their last and have dropped to fourth in the table.
Rangers boss Phillipe Clement is feeling some heat for the first time following a last-gasp draw at Aberdeen and a disappointing 1-1 draw at home to Cypriots, Aris Limassol on Thursday.
James Tavernier has scored six in his last five domestic matches since, five of those coming from the penalty spot – and he’s missed two spot kicks. He’s 6/4 to net today and is always worth a punt at that price.

Bournemouth to win at 21/10
Watkins has been injured in training so is a doubt for this clash. Bournemouth in good form and will be difficult to beat at home. The value is with a home win.
Chelsea v Brighton
Chelsea to win at 8/11
Brighton are down to the bare bones player wise, their influential defender Dunk is out through suspension after picking up a needless red card in their last fixture. Chelsea will be fresh after having no midweek game so should win here.

I can see St Mirren getting a pen late on in the game, providing Rangers are at least a couple ahead.
So its O’Hara to score last goal at 28/1 for me (Skybet and Bet365).
(also got 10/1 on O’Hara anytime scorer, just in case there’s another goal scored after the pen)
69 matches since the home side conceded a penalty in the league must be a world record.
What makes you a,think the home side will go a couple of goals ahead and b, conceded a penalty?
@heisenberg, because that statistical “anomaly” (cough-cough) gets more ridiculous with every game and eventually the authorities come under pressure to pad the stats, but they’ll only do it when the game is already safe.
But of course, going a couple of goals up or more is not a given, and thats why we’re getting a huge price. At 28/1, I’m happy to take the chance.

Simon Hooper. Totally useless tw.@t who denied Grealish a clear goal scoring opportunity.
Very poor decision.
Sounds like someone had City to win lol
Clearly plays the advantage until Grealish is in a prime shooting position, then blows and pulls the ball back.
Don’t think Hooper was biased either way – he just completely effed up a decision, and realised immediately afterwards (probably why he added on a couple of minutes extra time on top)
Stll a very poor referring decicion by anyone’s book.
He should of allowed play to go on but he bottled it.

Also no shot on target for Alvarezz mate
No SOT for Alvarez either mate
Can someone help please. On a bet selection player 1+ shot on target. If your player hits the post does this count as on target
“A shot on goal is a shot that is on net. The results of a shot on goal must be either a save by the goalkeeper or defending team or a goal by the attacking team. A shot that hits the post or crossbar without being deflected by a goalkeeper or defender and does not cross the goal line is not a shot on goal.”
h/t to Jamie Kennedy for yet another winning 5/1 BTTS & team goals ACCA ✅ 👏
davinho no it’s not on target
Ok thanks for clearing that one up. Had alvarez 1+ shot on target on bet builder. Will be the one that let me down for a nice return. We go again
