Spurs’ Ange Postecoglou era kicks off today at Brentford and he’ll probably be glad that the Harry Kane saga is over – God knows everyone else is!

It took the Aussie a few weeks to mould his Celtic side into a team in his image so don’t be surprised if Spurs aren’t out the blocks immediately especially following the uncertainty surrounding Kane’s transfer.

The Bees will present a difficult opening day challenge and the bookies are finding it hard to separate them with the home side at 17/10 and the visitors 6/4.

With that in mind goals might be a better option but Over 2.5 is a measly 4/6 so lets double that up with BTTS to make it 10/11.

James Maddison is a shrewd acquisition by Spurs and he’s 3/1 to mark his debut with a goal.

At Stamford Bridge it could be a tight affair between Chelsea and Liverpool. Both sides are undertaking a bit of a rebuild so it’s potentially a toss of a coin how this one will go with the Blues at 15/8 and the Reds at 13/10.

In Scotland Celtic face a tricky trip to Pittodrie at lunchtime. They’ve a good record in the Granite City though and should make it two wins from two at 1/3.

Kyogo will be the main man at the top of the pitch but one to watch is David Turnbull. He’s being preferred ahead of the talented Reo Hatate and he’s certainly got goals in him. He netted two in Celtic’s opener and is 21/10 to find the net again.

Bet of the Day comes at Fir Park where goals look guaranteed. Motherwell have lost the services Kevin van Veen but new signing Theo Bair scored in the season opener last weekend.

As for Hibs, they look like they’ll score goals and concede them in equal measure this season and Over 2.5 will be the play most weeks with the Hibees.

I was interested in the Spurs corners market after Ange had a high count with corner kicks at Celtic in the first season and half when he played Jota and Abada both key wide men in the system he adopted. I will be keeping an eye on the Spurs corner count and post of any value to be had.

    • the badger 12 months ago

Over 2 first half corners is great value imo. Over 4 first half corners is 5/1 , a bet which gave me good success last seaon betting on Rangers , Celtic and benfica .

    • baldy45 12 months ago

who is offering Spurs over 2 corners first half at 10/11 ? I don’t see it on b365, skybet, or hills.

    • the badger 12 months ago

That was the odds when I posted

    • the badger 12 months ago

The odds are from bet365 and are still the same mate. Got to bet builder and then corners , then first half corners then select spurs

Already have lots of bets on spurs corners today, found bet365 to be better than few others I checked, over 0 in 1st 10 mins is 7/5 and over 1 is 15/2. Even gambled on over 1 at 22/1. Thanks to guys on here for all the tips on celtic corners last season! Also made a few quid on corners against Barcelona in midweek 👍

    This is getting ridiculous now.
Surley admin can come up with a way to stop all these fake accounts.
Just don’t let anyone comment unless their a paid member.
At least you have their bank details and can confirn who they are.
    Just a thought

    • dannyrichie999 12 months ago

Hardly fair for people like me and countless others who don’t pay. Surely the admin can put a facial recognition / identification requirement when signing up though.

    • oneoff 12 months ago

I didn’t say paid members only.
Read it again, I paid members can only write comments or we get this shite.
Or are you happy to have all this crap on here.
If you can’t afford £35 a year you shouldn’t be gambling!!!

      1
    • dannyrichie999 12 months ago

Hang on a minute. You’re directing your anger out at the wrong person. Why should I have to pay £35 for a free betting website? What makes this the best website is the tips. Why should you have to pay to give others your knowledge on particular leagues? (E.g. Maccathered for prem games and Mr Orange for the Dutch league). As for not being able to afford £35. Firstly, you don’t know my financial situation and secondly, even if I couldn’t afford £35, are people not allowed to bet less? FYI, I’ve always been a high stake, low odds kind of bettor so yes I can afford £35.

    • dannyrichie999 12 months ago

I offered a potential solution (facial recognition / ID to sign up). Which means those who can’t afford £35 or don’t want to pay that amount don’t have to.

In reality, there is only one way to deal with this, as its still a public forum. Admin can only do so much.

Getting annoyed or upset at the comments and criticisms thrown out there, by ‘you know who’ (and his many incarnations), invariably lead to the thread getting clogged up with long ‘spats’, with valuable members of the MFT community getting drawn in to pointless arguments and ultimately getting so miffed with it all, they stop posting. All this ‘chatter’ and ‘upset’ not only adds fuel to the fire, it’s exactly what he wants. Gives him the ‘power’ he craves.

Remember, apart from being a very sad individual, he is a narcissist. A recognised psychological disorder, where the person has an unreasonably high sense of their own importance. THEY NEED AND SEEK TOO MUCH ATTENTION.

So, if all the regular decent community members on here (and we all know who we are), would simply ignore any comments, ‘they’ would eventually get bored and move on. When/if they return, do it all over again. He will eventually seek his pointless validation elsewhere.

Admin already do what they can. Its up to all of us to do the rest

Completely agree David and I said similar yesterday. I know people say to just ignore and it sounds easy enough, but it’s hard when it seems constant. Just look at the rubbish from the end of yesterday’s thread and that has continued again today.

Really hoping admin can tidy up the forum over the last 2 days as it’s difficult to actually find the few bits of information and tips with the amount of complete nonsense that is being posted.

Is there nothing that can done to verify accounts and prevent this from happening? I would happily pay a yearly fee to verify my identity with a bank card/address in order submit posts. Or perhaps a mobile number can be linked to the site and an OTP code is sent each time when logging in.

Would just be great to view posts on here for what this site is supposed to be about and not have to scroll through 90% of it to find something remotely useful.

All of this must be driving the admin/long term regulars completely mad I imagine.

Definitely Master, got stung last week on Celtic on the corner h’cap at home too Ross County so change of tact this week. Anges style brings corners galore with the inverted fullbacks,Rogers is more traditional fullback so the count will drop as a result

Picks for today come from Scotland. I know Hearts have a huge game with Rosenborg coming up but anyone who watched Killie last week will know they are pretty poor, just that Rangers were awful! 10/11 on Hearts getting their second win looks great value to me, and no plastic pitch to help the men from Ayrshire either of course…
Still can’t believe the bookies are giving almost 6/4 for btts and over 2.5 in the hibs game, but I’m not complaining. Double plays almost 4/1 and looks great value to me.
For those looking to boost the odds, I wouldn’t put anyone off throwing in over 2.5 and btts in the Celtic game either to take us to almost 8/1.
    Good luck all.

Celtic are a more controlled and possession based team hence the lack or corners and thus far selection of available defenders and midfielders.

More goals will now come from midfield something that lacked in the previous seasons.
With that in mind I’ve opted for value 9/1
On the trio to score from outside the penalty area.

Only one match was completed yesterday:

    Thompson 2-0 v Muller 1.90, Bet365 ❌
Samsonova to beat Rybakina 1.91, Bet365 – PENDING

No quite sure how Thompson didn’t win in straight sets. Had so many opportunities to take a set and break lead. Annoyingly the Samsonova match has been moved to today due to rain. This has now given Rybakina extra time to recover from her previous late marathon match. Also gives her injured shoulder some further rest as well. Still has a chance based on previous head to heads and how well Samsonova has been playing but certainly takes away some of the advantage. Would probably advise to stay away from that one now but I will let it play out.

    • maccathered 12 months ago

He posts tips to try ang get the odds shifted that much is obvious, take his tip of over 3.5 goals for todays game for instance, it’s highly unlikely to go over 3.5 goals but he knows if he can post his tip and make out he’s having a massive wager then the odds will rise on the more likely outcome of under 3.5 goals. I seen this with his last horse tip he posted but just before the off the odds rose on his given tip and the horse he would of really backed would of gone off at higher odds. For obvious reasons i won’t be posting tips until the sight is cleaned up.

    Chelsea v Liverpool – MATCH TO END AS A DRAW @ 11/4 is worth a shout 👍🏽

    1
  32. MJT 12 months ago

    My tennis plays today:

    ATP Cincinnati
Tiafoe v Griekspoor Over 22.5 Games 1.86, Unibet (NAP)
Tiebreak in the match 2.23, Unibet
Expecting this to a close match with the possibility of 3 sets and tie breaks. Not been at all impressed with Tiafoe over recent matches in his loses to Dimitrov, Evans & Raonic. Griekspoor had some great results in Washington including against the in form Monfils & Fritz. His loss to Zverev in Toronto was probably expected given his run in Washington. Despite this he still made it competitive losing 6-4 7-6 with only 1 break of serve all match. Not expecting many breaks in this one either so a tie break certainly has a good chance.

    Shelton v Eubanks Over 24.5 1.85, Pinnacle
Another close match expected here. Would be very surprised if there is not at least 1 tie break and/or 3 sets. Head to head is 2-1 to Shelton all very close matches. Most recent was on grass in June finished 6-7 6-4 7-6 with just 1 break of serve all match. Previous 2 matches before that also both included at least 1 tie break. Expecting this to be a very serve dominated match so the overs is the call in this one.

    Other plays:
Gasquet to beat Mannarino 2.43, Unibet
    Kubler -1.5 Games v Lajovic 1.91, Pinnacle

    Long Shot:
Huesler to beat Thompson 3.20, Unibet

Will post up my picks for the final in Toronto below this shortly.

    3
    • MJT 12 months ago

      Further play:

      WTA Cincinnati
Xiyu Wang to beat Putintseva 1.85, Betway

    • MJT 12 months ago

Picks for the final in Toronto:

      Sinner v De Minaur
A massive match for both players & a first Masters 1000 title on the line so I expect both players to feel the nerves. Sinner will need to improve his 1st serve percentage which has been below 50% in his last 2 victories. Otherwise this will allow De Minaur plenty of chances to get into rallies. Sinner has the better serve & more power so it will be interesting to see how this matches up against the excellent movement of De Minaur. Sinner leads the head to head 4-0 & should win this again but it may not be easy given the excellent wins for De Minaur so far this week. I believe there will be breaks from both players in each set so I like the 3.5 line for Sinner. I also expect at least 1 of the players to hit a minimum of 3 double faults given how much is at stake, especially if Sinner continues to have a 1st serve percentage below 50%. So will take a small play on both here as this could easily hit if this match is close.

Sinner Over 3.5 Breaks of Serve 2.10, Bet365 (NB)
      Sinner Over 2.5 Double Faults 2.0, Bet365
De Minaur Over 2.5 Double Faults 2.10, Bet365

      Best of luck all
