No-one is giving Manchester United a chance in this afternoon’s derby not least the bookies who have them at 9/1 to silence their noisy neighbours.

They’ve won just one of the last five meetings with City and last week’s 2-1 defeat at Fulham exposed some of the cracks that recent results had been papering over. Erik ten Hag’s men had been unbeaten in five prior to the Cottagers’ victory but their only truly convincing win was a 3-0 success over West Ham, in fact only two of United’s 14 wins have been by more than a single goal.

They’ve already lost 3-0 to their city rivals this season and Pep Guardiola’s men
have now scored 3, 2, 1, 6, 4 & 2 goals in the last six Manchester derbies – an average of three per match. They’re 5/6 to hit at least three today.

Ominously for United Erling Haaland warmed up for the derby with a five-goal haul against Luton Town last week. He’s already scored five against the Red Devils and is 4/6 to net today. The big Norwegian is 11/4 to score two or more and 10/1 to repeat his hat-trick in this fixture last season.

Chris Sutton has predicted a 6-1 ( win for the hosts at the Etihad. It might not be as spectacular as that (50/1 BTW!) but everything points to a comfortable win for the champions.

City to be winning at half-time and full-time appeals at 4/5 as does at least a couple of first half goals coupled with a home win at 13/10.

Motherwell’s stunning win at Ibrox yesterday means it’s over to Celtic today in the battle for the title in Scotland.

The Steelmen handed Phillipe Clement his first home league defeat and gives the Hoops the chance to retake top spot if they can win at Tynecastle this lunchtime.

Standing in their way are a Hearts side that lost 5-0 to Rangers last week before grabbing a point in the Edinburgh Derby in midweek. Prior to that the Jambos were unbeaten in 12 and Steven Naismith will be to embark on another unbeaten run that will secure top spot.

Celtic turned in one of their best performances of the season in a 4-1 win in Gorgie back in October but it looks like they’ll be without captain Callum McGregor and Kyogo Furuhashi through injury today.

Lawrence Shankland scored that day and in Hearts 2-0 win at Celtic Park in December. The Scottish Internationalist is 15/8 to add to his 24 goals already scored this season.

Celtic are just 4/9 to win today whilst Hearts will be popular at 13/2 but goals could be the best play.

With Shankland in fine form Hearts will be a threat in front of goal, whilst Celtic will be all out to take the three points. With that in mind the 21/20 on BTTS and Over 2.5 Goals looks the best bet.

Super Singles

  • Hearts v Celtic – BTTS & O2.5 goals 21/20 Bet365

So far it’s been a good weekend for me. Posting winners Friday and Saturday.
Today I’m sticking with the uk and like most will be putting my money on city against United.
Even with United at full strength this is a game they just aren’t good enough to win. But with half their defence injured and no actual goal scorer fit to play I can’t even see them threatening the city goal.
The route I’m taking for my single today is based on that.

Man City win to nil 6/4

    Best of luck

Irish Cup qf at 1pm, Institute v Linfield:

Institute are priced up at 25/1 at home. That’s way too big for a home cup match. Their NI Championship rivals Ballyclare were the same price away to Glentoran yesterday.

Institute are in good form as they aim for promotion to the NIPL, and they’re really up for this match. I’ll be at the game myself.

You’d expect Linfield to win comfortably but they’ve turned in a few poor performances this season.

So a quid on Institute at 25/1.

    • Prester John 2 months ago

      Should say that’s on 365.

    Hungarian OTB Bank Liga
    Újpest-Fehérvár FC

The club was sold, but the real change will only come in the summer. The hated coach Vignjevic was fired. The new coach started with a win in the first match, but then came three defeats. In addition, he was banned for 3 months last week for racist comments. So he wont be on the bench. They played 120 minutes in the cup on Thursday and were eliminated.

    Fehérvár FC:
The team is getting better since coach Grzelak changed the tactics. They signed two good strikers and have one of the best goalkeepers in the league. Fehérvár is fighting for 2nd-3rd place

I really don’t understand why Fehérvár is underdog today. They have better players and are fresher than Újpest.

So my tips for this match: DNB Fehérvár FC

A nice looking double for today.

    Gaelic Football
    Division 2
    Cork Vs Kildare
    Cork Win

    Division 1
    Kerry Vs Tyrone
    Over 1.5 goals

    Double pays Evens

A big win last week will have given Cork confidence facing a team that has been operating without little and lost three of their starting forwards against Meath to injury.

Kerry and Tyrone at this venue have thrown up all sorts of results. Without a couple of good de-fenders, Tyrone are weakened. Kerry are a wounded animal after suffering a ten-point defeat at the hands of Dublin last weekend and Jack O’Connor will expect a big reaction. Goals look generous.

    • spursman 2 months ago

We should but Louth have shown they’re not afraid of a scrap and with the recent rain I’m hoping Jimmy goes back to the hand passing game he was so good at

    Morning gents,

No joy with the Ivan Toney goal yesterday – well done all winners!

MAN CITY VS. MAN UTD (3.30pm)

Sometimes form can go out of the windown in a derby game but just can’t see it here.

United could try and park the bus but a. they are not great at parking and b. I’m not even sure they have a bus these days 😂

So, I’m going for the following:

    (4/5, bet365) NAP ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

    (2/1, bet365) NB ⭐️⭐️

    (20/1, bet365) LONGSHOT I ⭐️

Also fancy Solanke to have a bit of fun at Turf Moor against an abysmal Burnley side so will throw in a 2nd longshot:

    (25/1, bet365) LONGSHOT II ⭐️

Best of luck with all bets!

    (2/1, bet365) NB ⭐️⭐️

Couple of losers today. One unlucky and the other not even close. Been looking at tomorrow and can’t understand how the odds for goals in the famalicao-Boavista game are so appealing.
O2.5 mgls at odds of 10/11 just seem too good to be true. In their 11 previous meetings this has come in and can’t see tomorrow being any different. 7 of 11 have seen over 3.5. 8 of them have seen btts. Bets I’m considering
    Main bet o2.5 mgls 10/11
    O2.5 btts 11/8
    Also o3.5 mgls 12/5
    Will post again tomorrow
