South Korea v Germany

THE normally reliant Germans were seconds away from a humiliating and unthinkable group stage exit on Saturday but a moment of brilliance from Kroos salvaged their world cup dreams.
Again it was a far from convincing German performance but that win sets them up nicely for what on paper is their easiest match of the group against a weak South Korea side.
It was another defeat for the Koreans as they lost a goal in each half against an impressive Mexico team. They did manage a late consolation and whilst they have been well organised and difficult to breakdown, they have offered very little going forward and that will be why y they’ll find themselves bottom of the group yet again at the world cup.
Saturday is probably the kick up the back side Germany needed and I cant see them slipping up here. South Korea will try and keep it tight and hit Germany on the break but the only way I can see them scoring is via the penalty spot and given how this VAR world cup has panned out so for its not out with the realms of possibility
I expect Germany to get the job done and so do the bookies with the short price on offer but there are still some good looking market and I’m sticking with the super single I posted for Germany’s last game – Germany to win and under 3.5 goals.
Other than Saudi Arabia and Panama, nobody has really embarrassed themselves (well, apart from Mark Lawrenson) – I don’t see this being a goal glut but Germany should ease out comfortable winners
