Tennis Prediction and Betting Tips 2024

Today’s tennis betting tips will feature some intriguing matches from the indoor circuit as we’ve reviewed the entire slate of ATP tournaments and found some decent value.

The first match is from the Antwerp Open, where we’re backing Roberto Bautista Agut to continue his strong form, while in our second tip, we’re predicting a major upset in Stockholm.

Here are the betting opportunities we see this Saturday on the ATP Tour.

Bautista Agut to defeat Gaston 2-0 @ 6/5

After successfully backing Roberto Bautista Agut to beat Felix Auger-Aliassime, we’re going to pick him to beat Hugo Gaston 2-0 as well. It makes sense to us because the Spaniard is playing really well this week.

He’s arguably played the best tennis so far at the event and is certainly the better player than Gaston. The Frenchman is fairly talented but also highly unpredictable, as you never know what to expect from him.

He could win 6-1, 6-1 or lose 6-0, 6-0—that's how volatile he is, and he often doesn’t take matches seriously.

With that track record, we fancy the always-serious Bautista Agut to get this done in two sets. The odds being what they are only make it more appealing, and while not having played Gaston before might be a slight disadvantage for the Spaniard, we think it’ll be fine.

We just don’t see Gaston being solid enough to win a set, even though he’s been strong so far in Antwerp.

Wawrinka to defeat Paul @ 3/1

Before we explain why we’re backing this, we have to mention that this is purely a play based on gut feeling. We think Wawrinka will win, and that’s why we’re backing him. There are, however, some good reasons to support this.

He’s wound back the years this week in Stockholm, holding his serve well and generally outlasting better players. He just beat Rublev in two close sets, and we think he might do the same against Tommy Paul.

Paul is a former champion of this event and plays very well here, so there’s a good chance he wins the match. However, the American is also a very streaky and volatile player.

It’s not impossible for Wawrinka to keep it solid enough for Paul to beat himself here. We’re kind of banking on that happening because it has happened before.

Wawrinka has beaten Paul in the past, and the odds make it even more enticing. If you don’t feel like risking as much, then backing Wawrinka to win a set is also pretty good value.
