Pep Guardiola is refusing to be drawn in to discussing the chances of his side winning successive trebles.
Man City were handed a tough route to the final of the Champions League in yesterday’s draw with Real Madrid then with Arsenal or Bayern Munich standing in their way of the finale at Wembley Stadium.
They should take book at least one Wembley appearance with a win over Newcastle this evening. The Magpies have been poor on the road but they’ve gone toe-to-toe with City twice, only losing by a single on each occasion in the league.
It might be a bit tighter than City’s 1/4 odds suggest but they should be in the semi-final draw for a sixth consecutive season.
Double them up with Wolves who host Championship side Coventry City.
The Sky Blues have enjoyed a favourable draw to get to the last eight but their luck looks likely to run out today against top flight opposition who are in good form, winning three of their last four.
The home double in the FA Cup pays 11/10.
We’ll find out what Luton are made of after they threw away a three goal lead at Bournemouth in midweek to lose 4-3.
They need to put that hard-luck tory behind them and a win today could lift them above opponents Nottingham Forest. They’re a tempting 9/5 to take the three points. Backing them to score two or more at 6/5 might be a better option considering they’re scored in their last 16 Premier League outings.
Fulham’s record against Tottenham must give their fans the fear. They’ve lost 14 of the last 16 Premier League meetings and face a Spurs side who are gunning for a top four spot after a tremendous win 4-0 win at Aston Villa.
With Villa not in action this weekend back Spurs to leapfrog them by getting the job done at 19/20.
St Johnstone frustrated Celtic on their last visit to the east end of Glasgow. Celtic spent the entire match looking for a breakthrough in a 0-0 draw that day, helping to contribute to a massive 19 corners for the home side. A less ambitious 11 corners for the Hoops pays 7/5.
Hearts 10/11 odds have already shortened but they should get the job done at Ross County at 4/5.
It’s all about the battle for 4th place at Rugby Park where St Mirren are the visitors. The Buddies lead Kilmarnock by a point and there’s little to choose between the sides so the 14/5 available on the visitors could represent a bit of value.
Raith Rovers have a huge opportunity to hit the top spot in the Championship after Dundee United’s 3-1 defeat at Dunfermline last night, but they won’t find things easy against Queen’s Park who have only lost twice since Callum Davidson took over.
If Raith are to win it’ll likely be a single goal margin like they’ve done so in an astonishing 16 of their 17 wins in the league this season.
Clyde are just about in the last chance saloon in League Two but they’ve a chance to breathe new life in to their battle to avoid the drop. A win at Bonnyrigg would move them within 3 points of safety and after three wins in their last five could be worth a shot at 8/5.

Another winner on my single yesterday but let down by Dundee on the treble.
I always struggle with Saturdays. Not so much with finding matches but more with picking the right one for my single.
Today I’m heading to Spain where I think I’ve found decent value.
Bilbao-alaves and home goals in particular seems to show some value.
Bilbao are a team in form right now, especially at home. Minus a 0-0 draw against Barcelona last time out they have hit the target multiple times in the previous 6. They should have the quality to do so again when the play host to a very average alaves. Defensively alaves look to be doing ok keeping multiple clean sheets, however that’s against weaker opponents than Bilbao and I expect them to once again concede twice like they did when they last met in January.
Bilbao 2+tgls at odds of 4/5 is fine as a single for me
Gotta agree with you on the Saturdays too many games too much choice , much prefer midweek myself , mostly just try do a couple of longer shot goal bets when it comes to the weekend ,
I will also be placing a double and a long shot Acca today. No explanation as it would be too long.

Haven’t posted in a couple of weeks as there’s been a few tough cards in both Hurling and Gaelic football. I’m always a bit weary of the league but we are only 4/5 weeks out from championship and teams are starting to shape up nicely. Some tasty fixtures in the hurling today but it’s really a mine field to pick a winner. Keeping it simple today and going for a Cork win against Meath today in the football. Meath have been playing with the freedom of a team already in the Sam Maguire Cup. Cork should have put Kildare out of their misery well before they did, but they can build on a couple of wins and the Algarve training camp to copperfasten their Division 2 status. Cork look like a team coming to the boil nicely and they can leave Navan with maximum points.

Well done Coventry, should have won by more on their second half chances, looked a premiership team in waiting on that second half.
Great game of football from Both sides to be fair.
That’s what the FA cup is all about. Well played Coventry
Altrincham play at Boreham Wood today in a game they will really want to win to stay in the chase for a play off place. They have been poor recently but a 6-1 win against York in midweek, albeit when their goalie had a nightmare should restore confidence. Alty have their goalie back and with a couple of recent signings hopefully will win at almost 2/1.
Well Altrincham managed a 1-0 win so all is good
