Following Friday’s high-profile fixtures, Saturday brings three more intriguing Ligue 1 clashes that are also well worth watching.

All eyes will be on Lens following their surprise defeat last week, whilst later in the day, we’ll see four teams at the bottom of the table looking for their first wins.

Keep reading below for our expert tips and predictions for all Ligue 1 matches.

Today’s Ligue 1 betting tips & predictions

Lens vs. Lorient (4:15pm)

Lens shouldn’t be making such blunders, although it’s inevitable that they’ll lose matches from time to time. But it certainly shouldn’t have happened so early in the season, and at a time when their main rivals, PSG, are dropping points against everyone.

Lorient continue to struggle in attack, and it’s becoming increasingly difficult to expect them to score. That’s why I’d be willing to take a chance on them not scoring against Lens, though I’ll need to see the line-ups and formations before making up my mind.

On the other hand, I do believe that Lens will dominate and win at home, where they’ve suffered just two defeats in Ligue 1 all year.

Le Havre vs. Brest (7:45pm)

Le Havre and Brest are two of the teams yet to secure a win, and this match presents a great opportunity for them to turn that around. However, the home side have not fared well against Brest in recent years.

The visitors have won six of their last seven Ligue 1 matches, but their only defeat came at this ground last season. So let’s hope they take note and plan their approach properly.

It’s true that we haven’t seen both teams score in six consecutive matches between them, but now it seems to me that it’s a possibility, as I’m expecting a draw. But to be honest, I wouldn’t risk betting on both teams to score, and a 0–0 draw is a perfectly possible result.

Nice vs. Le Mans (7:45pm)

It’s hardly a surprise that Le Mans started the season without a win in their first two matches. However, it is somewhat surprising that Nice are also yet to secure a win.

Another difference is that the home side have not scored a single goal, whilst Le Mans have scored four in their first two matches.

Can you see where this is heading? Nice will certainly have the upper hand and are deservedly the favourites, but Le Mans have shown that they are ambitious and won’t give up on scoring, regardless of the score.
