Real Mallorca are set to take on Barcelona in La Liga on Tuesday, 3 December in a big match for the visitors after their first rocky spell of the season.
Barcelona have now gone three matches without a win in the league following their shock defeat to Las Palmas at the weekend which has left the door open to Real Madrid and Atletico Madrid in the title race.
Real Mallorca will be hoping they can make it four winless matches on the bounce for Hansi Flick's men and come into the match in good form following two back-to-back league wins.
How the bookies view it: The visitors start as favourites
Barcelona's winless run in La Liga hasn't spooked the bookies as they still go into this one as the odds-on favourites. Kwiff have priced an away win at 1.54 while a victory for victory for Real Mallorca has been priced at 4.60. The draw, which wouldn't do Barcelona much good, has been priced at 3.40.
Recent head-to-head: Barcelona dominance
Barcelona's status as favourites for this match is reinforced by their recent record against Real Mallorca. The Catalan giants are unbeaten in their last 16 matches against Mallorca with 14 wins and two draws. Real Mallorca's last triumph over Barcelona came all the way back in 2009 so this current group of players are chasing a historic win.
Players to watch: The return of Lamine Yamal
If there was any doubt that Barcelona are already very reliant on the talents of a 17-year-old then you only have to look at how they have performed without Lamine Yamal over the past few weeks.
The mercurial right-winger hasn't started any of Barcelona's last three league fixtures and they haven't won any of them – that can't just be a coincidence.
Yamal returned from the bench against Las Palmas but he didn't have enough time to turn the game around. He is expected to start against Real Mallorca, though, where he will be hoping to add to his tally of seven goals and eight assists but more importantly, get his team back on track.
Predicted line-ups
As mentioned, Lamine Yamal is expected to return to the Barcelona starting XI for this one but they are still missing several first-team players, including Andreas Christensen and Marc Andre Ter-Stegen. Real Mallorca have injury problems of their own with Takuma Asano, Jose Copete and Toni Lato all in the treatment room.
Real Mallorca: Greif – Bauza, Valjent, Raillo, Mojica – Costa, Morlanes – Navarro, Rodriguez, Darder – Larin
Barcelona: Pena – Kounde, Cubarsi, Martinez, Balde – Pedri, Gavi, De Jong – Raphinha, Lewandowski, Yamal
Anything else catch the eye?
Real Mallorca have opened up more in recent weeks and this approach has served them well. Barcelona, meanwhile, are a team more than happy to get involved in an open and attacking game with 11 of their last 12 matches producing three goals or more. Over 2.5 goals to be scored on Tuesday night has been priced at 1.72 by Kwiff.
