Blackburn Rovers will be desperate to rekindle their slim hopes of a promotion playoff finish as they travel to Preston North End for a Monday night Championship fixture. Preston have done some of their best work at home lately and will be confident of getting past the struggling visitors.
Preston North End were the unfortunate victims of Fulham’s promotion party as they were beaten 3-0 by the Cottagers in midweek. They proved to be no match for the league leaders and barely offered any threat, finishing with just two attempts on target.
Manager Ryan Lowe will want to put that result into perspective as that was Preston’s first defeat in their last four matches. Sitting 15th on the table, they are unlikely to secure a top 10 place but will be keen to end the season as high as possible.
Deepdale is where Preston North End have done some of their best work lately as they are unbeaten in their last five matches. They have claimed three wins in that run, including a 2-1 victory over promotion chasing Bournemouth.

Top scorer Emil Riis remains doubtful with injury so Cameron Archer will be the one to watch for Preston North End. The attacker has three goals in his last four home matches and is priced at 5/2 by bet365 to get in the score sheet on Monday.
Blackburn Rovers will he looking to Ben Brereton to maintain his scoring run having found the net 21 times this season. The striker was also on target at Peterborough United and is priced at 13/10 by Ladbrokes to score anytime on Monday.
