Norwich City vs Swansea CityEnglish Championship, KO: 19:45 Mar 8, 2019, Carrow Road
NORWICH have so much momentum behind them that they're now odds-on favourites to win the Championship, with the best price on offer just 19/20 with Unibet.
Given that they hold just a two-point lead over Leeds, and sit only four clear of third-placed Sheffield United, that's perhaps a bit presumptuous but it's hard to argue with the Canaries' stunning run of form.
Daniel Farke's side have lost just once in nine games, a surprise 3-1 defeat at Preston, and have claimed six wins in that impressive sequence of results.
The goals have also been flying in, with Norwich netting at least three times in seven of their last eight games, and they definitely have the look of champions.
The only one who doesn't seem to agree is Farke himself, who last week claimed his side were still “outsiders”, although I suspect that was only to take some of the pressure off his squad.
With games against Leeds and Sheffield United also out of the way, taking four points, the Canaries also have a pretty smooth run-in.
They're at home for the next two games, against Swansea and Hull, and will be looking for maximum points to put a bit of distance between themselves and their title rivals.
It's no surprise to see Norwich heavy favourites for the visit of the Swans, with the best price on offer 73/100 with Marathonbet. But you can boost the odds to 23/10 with 888 Sport if you double a home win with both teams to score.
The Canaries haven't been solid at the back and their only clean sheets in the last nine games have come against relegation candidates Ipswich and Bolton.
Midtable Swansea have been inconsistent but if you look at their recent form there is a definite pattern emerging. And that's impressive at home, hopeless away. The Welsh side have won their last three at the Liberty Stadium and lost their last three on the road.
It's hard to see that sequence changing here and I like the look of Norwich to be winning at both half-time and full-time which is 7/4 with Bet Victor. Swansea lost by a two-goal margin in their last away day at Sheffield United and there could be a repeat here. Norwich to win by two goals is a decent 4/1 with Sky Bet.
Canaries goal machine Teemu Pukki has only failed to find the net in one of his last eight games, netting nine times in that run, so it's no surprise to see him as short as 5/6 for anytime scorer with most firms. But if you tip the Finn to break the deadlock the odds increase to 10/3 with Bet 365.
Farke has no fresh injury concerns so he should name an unchanged team. To get a bit more value, try midfielder Kenny McLean in the anytime scorer market at 9/2 with Paddy Power.
Swansea are without midfielder Leroy Fer and defender Joe Rondon. Their best option for a scorer could be winger Nathan Dyer who is a decent 13/2 with Betfred to net at any time.
