Napoli vs Juventus

, KO: 17:00 Jan 25, 2025, Stadio Diego Armando Maradona
Juventus

Napoli host Juventus in the Italian Serie A on Saturday, as they look to strengthen their lead at the top of the table. The home team appear to have hit a higher level in 2025 and should have the edge over the Turin club, who are still trying to turn draws into wins.

Things have been pretty smooth for Napoli lately as they head into Saturday’s match with six straight Serie A wins. They brushed off the departure of Khvicha Kvatatskhelia’s with a huge 3-2 victory at title rivals Atalanta to go three points clear at the top of the table.

Napoli have had a few wobbles at home this season but have still won three of their last four matches at the Stadio Diego Armando Maradona. That run has been driven by a sturdy defence as Antonio Conte’s men have kept clean sheets in all three wins.

Juventus earned a 2-0 victory over AC Milan in their previous Serie A fixture with Samuel Mbangula and Timothy Weah getting the goals. However, that has been the only win in the last six matches across all competitions for Thiago Motta’s men, who were held to a 0-0 draw at Club Brugge in a midweek Champions League fixture.

The Turin club are still unbeaten in Serie A this season but remain fifth having been plagued by too many draws. They have been held in four of their last five Serie A away matches and battled to a 1-1 scoreline at Atalanta in their previous away fixture in the league.

How the bookies view it: Napoli have the edge

Napoli have the upper hand among the bookies and are priced at 21/20 by BoyleSports to claim the win. A victory for Juventus is valued at 11/4 by BoyleSports, who are also offering odds of 2/1 for a draw.

Head to head: Napoli have the advantage at home

Juventus have a 30-19 advantage with 12 draws from 61 previous matches against Napoli. The reverse fixture in September ended in a 0-0 draw but Napoli have won the last five Serie A meetings at the Stadio Diego Armando Maradona.

Players to watch: Lukaku the man

Romelu Lukaku has been in good form lately, scoring in two of the last three Serie A matches. The Belgian striker now has eight Serie A goals this season and is priced at 2/1 by BoyleSports to score anytime on Saturday.

Juventus will be hoping for Dusan Vlahovic to rediscover his scoring touch with constant injuries disrupting his campaign. The Serbian striker has seven Serie A goals this season and is priced at 11/4 to find the net in Naples.

Probable line-ups

Alessandro Buongiorno is the only injury absentee for Napoli, who have had a full week’s rest and could stick with much of the same team that won at Atalanta, Lukaku and Matteo Politano were both on target last time out and should continue in attack while Amir Rrahmani is set to start at the back.

Vlahovic made his return from injury in the win over AC Milan and could earn a start on Saturday after coming off the bench at Brugge. Francisco Conceicao and Kenan Yildiz were second half substitutes in midweek and should also make their return.

Napoli: Meret, Di Lorenzo, Rrahmani, Jesus, Olivera, Lobotka, McTominay, Anguissa, Neres, Politano Lukaku
Juventus: Di Gregorio, Savona, Gatti, Kalulu, Cambiaso, Locatelli, McKennie, Conceicao, Koopmeiners, Yildiz, Vlahovic

Anything else catch the eye?

Four of Napoli’s last six matches in all competitions have produced over 2.5 goals and a repeat is priced at 11/8 with BoyleSports. Both teams have been on target in the last three meetings in Naples and could be set for a similar outcome at evens with BoyleSports.

Napoli have opened the scoring in four of their last five Serie A matches and can be backed to grab the first goal on Sunday at 3/4 with BoyleSports.
