Leeds United and Burnley lead the betting for the EFL Championship title so this clash at Elland Road could have a big bearing on how the promotion battle shapes up.
Daniel Farke's men didn't get off to the best of starts as they drew 3-3 with promoted Portsmouth at home then followed it up by crashing out of the EFL Cup with a 3-0 loss to Middlesbrough at Elland Road.
But Leeds started to hit their stride before the international break as successive 2-0 wins over Sheffield Wednesday and Hull City fired them up to fourth place in the table.
Burnley's beginning to the campaign has been almost the polar opposite, with the Clarets flying out the traps with two resounding then victories then going three games without a win.
Scott Parker's side had to settle for a point last time out in the derby with Blackburn, despite facing 10 men for the last half-hour as two bets landed for me. But they're still well placed, just a point behind Leeds, and a win at Elland Road would get them back on the up again.
How the bookies view it: Leeds red-hot favourites
There's not much between these sides so I'm surprised to see Leeds United as Betfred's heavy 8/13 favourites. Burnley look overpriced at 18/5 while the stalemate pays 13/5.
Recent head to head: Honours even
There has been nothing between these sides in recent years, with four wins apiece in the last 11 meetings and three draws. Both teams were in the Premier League when Burnley last visited Elland Road, suffering a 3-1 defeat back in January 2022.
Players to watch: Mateo's on song
I backed Mateo Joseph to score in Leeds United's last outing against Hull and he delivered to bring up a full house of bets for me. The Spaniard should lead the line again for this game and is 7/4 for anytime scorer.
Lyle Foster opened his account for the season in Burnley's derby draw last time out and that will boost his confidence. The striker is 3/1 to follow it up with another strike at Elland Road.
Probable line-ups
Manuel Benson and Maxime Esteve are doubts for Burnley after injuries picked up against Blackburn forced them to miss out on international duty. Winger Daniel James is still out for Leeds while new signing Largie Ramazani is in contention to start after making an impact off the bench against Hull.
Leeds United: Meslier, Bogle, Firpo, Struijk, Rodon, Ampadu, Ramazani, Gnonto, Gruev, Solomon, Joseph.
Burnley: Trafford, Worrall, Egan-Riley, Roberts, Pires, Brownhill, Anthony, Mejbri, Laurent, Koleosho, Foster.
Anything else catch the eye?
A big reason for Leeds United's resurgence has been tightening up at the back, with Farke's side keeping clean sheets in the last three outings. Those games all saw under 2.5 goals and it has been the same story for Burnley's last three outings.
That suggests going for under 2.5 goals could pay off here at 10/11 with Betfred. The same firm offer the same odds if you bet against BTTS.
Burnley's games haven't been producing a lot of corners, with all their matches so far this season failing to hit double figures. But both of Leeds games at Elland Road have produced plenty of flag kicks, with 12 against Portsmouth and 15 in the clash with Hull. So I'm going to go for over 10.5 corners here at evens.
