CELTIC resume their title charge on Sunday with traditionally one of their trickiest away days with a trip to the capital to face Hearts.
The champions will have less than 600 fans backing them and it's usually one of the great fixtures in Scottish football in a bearpit atmosphere.
And with Rangers under new management, boss Brendan Rodgers will be keen to put down a marker on Sunday.
Celtic have improved after a shaky start to the season and have won their last five league games in a row – starting with an Ibrox win – without ever hitting top form.
They face Steven Naismith's side who will still be smarting at blowing a two-goal lead at home to Hibs in their last game before the international break.
They have been too inconsistent though and although they have chalked up wins against Kilmarnock in the League Cup and at Ross County, they have already lost to Motherwell, Dundee and St Mirren.
They will want to show they can compete with the big boys though and Celtic have a huge week ahead with this and a home game against La Liga giants Atletico Madrid to come in the Champions League.
How the bookies view it
Celtic are solid favourites here at 1/2 with Coral.
Hearts can be backed at 21/4 with McBookie.com. The draw is 17/4 with bet365.
Recent head to heads
There were five meetings between the teams last season in the league and Scottish Cup…and Celtic won them all.
In fact, Celtic have won nine-in-a-row against Hearts. The hosts last tasted success against Celtic in Ange Postecoglou's opening league match as Celtic boss in July 2021.
Players to watch
Lawrence Shankland is on something of a goal drought here with eight games without one. The Tynecastle captain must end that soon surely and is 21/10 to change that with bet365.
Kyogo Furuhashi has probably not quite reached the heights he is capable of either but has still scored six goals this season including one for his country this week against Tunisia. He is 23/20 to score with William Hill.
Anything else catch the eye?
Although Celtic have had more than their fair share of problems in Gorgie, they have an excellent recent record against a Hearts team who are too inconsistent and vulnerable at the back.
The Hoops should have too much for their hosts and there could be goals here too. Back Celtic to win and over 2.5 goals at evens with McBookie.com.
Hearts won seven corners against Hibs and Celtic won 11 against Kilmarnock in their last game and there are usually plenty of corners at Tynecastle. Back over 10.5 corners with bet365 at 10/11.
