Eintracht Frankfurt and Bayern Munich will go head-to-head at Deutsche Bank Park on Sunday afternoon in a match between first and second in the Bundesliga table.
While Bayern are expected to be in the position they are, Eintracht Frankfurt are currently exceeding expectations and their good form has extended into Europe after beating Besiktas in Istanbul on Thursday night.
Bayern, meanwhile, suffered a shock defeat to Aston Villa in the Champions League and won't want to go into the international break on the back of two defeats.
How the bookies view it: Bayern go in as favourites
Bayern Munich are favourites ahead of this one which shouldn't come as a surprise given they are currently leading the way in Germany. Betfred have priced a win for Frankfurt at 9/2 while a win for Bayern has been priced at 1/2. The draw, which would keep Bayern on top of the table during the international break, has been priced at 4/1.
Recent head-to-head: Scars for Bayern to overcome
Although Bayern Munich have a superior overall record against Eintracht Frankfurt, the hosts do hold a psychological advantage over the league leaders after what happened in last season's corresponding fixture. Frankfurt put in a stunning performance, defeating Bayern 5-1 in a match that nobody at Deutsche Bank Park will ever forget.
Players to watch: Kane looking to get back on track
Harry Kane has had a brilliant start to the season, scoring nine goals in seven appearances for Bayern Munich but there is still pressure on his shoulders coming into this one.
The England captain failed to find the back of the net against Bayer Leverkusen and Aston Villa, the club's two toughest opponents so far, which has led to some people labelling him a flat-track bully. The match on Sunday gives Kane the perfect opportunity to silence those critics and it wouldn't surprise anyone if he was to get a goal or two in Frankfurt.
Looking to deliver another blow to Bayern Munich will be Omar Marmoush. The Egyptian striker is the only man in the Bundesliga to have scored more league goals than Kane so far this season and after opening the scoring in the 5-1 rout last season, the Bayern defence won't be looking forward to facing him.
Predicted line-ups
For Bayern playmaker, Mario Gotze is a doubt for the hosts after a recent illness while Kevin Trapp, Marcel Wenig and Oscar Hojlund are all definitely out. Bayern Munich's biggest absentee is Jamal Musiala who is nursing a hip injury.
Eintracht Frankfurt: Santos (GK), Kristensen, Tuta, Koch, Theate, Dina Ebimbe, Shkiri, Larsson, Chaibi, Ekitike, Marmoush
Bayern Munich: Neuer (GK), Guerreiro, Upamecano, Kim, Davies, Pavlovic, Kimmich, Olise, Musiala, Gnabry, Kane.
Anything else catch the eye?
Bayern Munich are averaging more than three goals a match in the Bundesliga so far while Eintracht Frankfurt are averaging more than two goals per game. While it is unlikely that they both live up to these averages on Sunday given they are playing each other, we do expect goals. Over 3.5 goals to be scored has been priced at 5/6.
