Colombia vs Bolivia

, KO: 22:00 Jun 15, 2024, Pratt & Whitney Stadium
Bolivia

COLOMBIA and Bolivia wrap up preparations for the Copa America as they face each other in a final warm-up fixture on Saturday. The Colombians have looked sharp lately and should be too strong for Bolivia, who are struggling to find their best form.

Colombia head into Saturday’s clash off the back of an impressive 5-1 victory over the United States in their previous fixture. They had five different scorers, with Rafael Santos Borre and Luis Sinisterra among the goals.

That result is an extension of Colombia’s recent good form as they have now won their last seven matches across all competitions. Among the results for Nestor Lorenzo’s men in that run is a 1-0 victory over Spain while they also claimed a 2-1 win over Brazil.

In contrast to Colombia’s fine showings in recent times, Bolivia appear out of sorts heading to the Copa America. Antonio Carlos Zago’s men have suffered four defeats in their last five matches.

Bolivia are generally no match for the rest of the CONMEBOL teams and that fact was evident in their previous fixture. They head into Saturday’s clash off the back of a 3-0 defeat to Ecuador on Thursday.

How the bookies view it: Bolivia still unfancied

Colombia are considered overwhelming favourites among the bookies with a win priced at 1/7 by bet365. A victory for Bolivia is valued at 14/1 while a draw is set at odds of 11/2.

Head to head: Colombia always comfortable

Colombia have a 10-2 advantage with four draws from 16 previous matches against Bolivia. The Colombians eased to a 3-0 victory in a CONMEBOL World Cup qualifying fixture back in 2022.

Players to watch: Santos Borre looking sharp

Rafael Santos Borre often leads the line for Colombia and could be worth keeping an eye on. The striker was on target last time out against the US and with the likes of Luis Diaz and Luis Sinisterra providing support, the Colombians could be backed to produce over 1.5 goals at 2/7 with bet365.

Having shut out the Bolivians in the last meeting, Colombia will be targeting a similar outcome on Saturday. Davinson Sanchez is often a rock in the heart of the defence and can lead the Colombians to another clean sheet at 8/15 with bet365.

Probable line-ups

Yerry Mina was an unused substitute for Colombia against the US and could be given a run-out on Saturday. Luis Sinisterra could also be handed a start in attack after scoring off the bench last time out.

Miguel Terceros scored off the bench for Bolivia on Thursday and could be handed a start against Colombia. Rodrigo Ramallo could also return to the starting line-up after coming off the bench last time out.

Colombia: Ospina, Munoz, Sanchez, Mina, Mojica, Castano, Lerma, Sinisterra, Rodriguez, Diaz, Borre
Bolivia: Lampe, Rocha, Jusino, Sagredo, Suarez, Cespedes, Ramallo, Villamill, Vaca, Terceros, Algaranaz

Anything else catch the eye?

With Colombia expected to keep a clean sheet, they could be backed to earn a win to nil at 4/6 with bet365. Given the quality in their attack, the Colombians could also be backed in the -2 handicap market at 11/8 with bet365.

Colombia are expected to be dominant on Saturday and could be set to win both halves at 6/5 with bet365.
