NEWCASTLE UNITED are on Saturday night action again this week when they travel to the south coast to face Bournemouth.
And the Geordies will still be smarting from a Champions League humbling in Germany.
Eddie Howe's side took a massive support to Borussia Dortmund after their controversial win over Arsenal which so infuriated Gunners boss Mikel Arteta last week.
But their 2-0 defeat at the Westfallenstadion has left them teetering on the brink of an early exit from the Champions League.
They have to get their heads together now for league business and face a Bournemouth side who are currently in the drop zone.
The Cherries have won just one out of their last seven league games and indeed that was their only win in the Premier League this term. That's certainly relegation form.
In fairness, three of those games have been against Arsenal, Liverpool and Machester City which is almost a free hit.
Last week they were battered by City 6-1 at the Etihad and their only success in the league came at home to Burnley who already look doomed.
Bournemouth have also conceded the second most goals in the league and scored the second fewest so they don't have their troubles to seek going into this one.
How the bookies view it
Newcastle are odds-on as you would expect but so impossibly so and you can get 4/6 on an away win.
Bournemouth can be backed at 4/1 with 888Sport and the draw is 3/1 with Betfred.
Recent head to heads
There were a pair of 1-1 draws in the league last season and Newcastle won in the League Cup also.
Bournemouth have never won at the Vitality Stadium against Newcastle and you have to go back to their old Dean Court ground for their last home win against the Toon Army in 1989.
Players to watch
Former Liverpool striker Dominic Solanke has been Bournemouth's danger man for a few years now and he is 11/4 with bet365 to add to the four goals he has scored this season.
Anthony Gordon was Newcastle's hero against Arsenal last week by netting the game's only goal and he is 7/2 to net against Bournemouth with UniBet.
Anything else catch the eye?
Backing Newcastle looks the shout here with the odds-on not too prohibitive. Although they have injury problems, they really should be too strong for a limited team like Bournemouth who seem certain to be in a dogfight to stay up.
Both teams to score also seems a shout here because that's happened in the last four Cherries games including against Manchester City and Liverpool. Take the 4/6 with Paddy Power.
Although Bournemouth were blown away by City last week, Newcastle would happily take any win back to the north east. Back them to win by one goal at 11/4 with bet365 in what could be a tight game.
