Aberdeen vs Queen's Park

, KO: 12:30 , Pittodrie Stadium
Queen's Park

Queen's Park produced one of the greatest Scottish Cup shocks of all time when they knocked Rangers out of the last round at Ibrox.

And they will be aiming to continue their run at Aberdeen – a side who know all about being on the wrong end of a seismic upset.

The Hampden side – who have actually won three more Scottish Cups than the Dons and remain the third most successfull club in the history of the competition, despite winning it for the last time in 1893 – produced an outstanding display at Ibrox to eliminate Rangers.

Inspired by an incredible display by keeper Callum Ferrie who saved an injury time penalty and made a string of outstanding saves, they shocked their hosts. They are now aiming to reach the semi-finals of the Scottish Cup for the first time since 1928.

They face an Aberdeen side who actually have a lamentable record in the Scottish Cup having not won it for 35 years and they were infamously eliminated by junior side Darvel two years ago.

They have improved recently though and showed plenty of fight last week to come back from going two goals down to Dundee United to salvage a home draw.

How the bookies view it: Dons strong favourites

Aberdeen are 4/11 favourites with Boylesports against the Championship side who are 13/2 with the same firm. The draw is 16/5.

Recent head to heads: Dons edged out Spiders this season.

The sides actually met in the League Cup at the start of the season at Pittodrie and Aberdeen needed an injury time goal to see ff the challenge of Queen's Park.

Queen's Park's last win at Pittodrie was 92 years ago.

Players to watch: Killer Kevin on form

Kevin Nisbet has had his share of critics during his loan spell from Millwall, but his double last week against Dundee United rescued a point for Aberdeen and took his tally for the season up to nine and it was his fourth goal in five games. He is 11/8 to score anytime with bet365.

Former Rangers striker Zak Rudden is the main danger man for Queen's Park and he is 5/1 to score anytimr with bet365.

Predicted line-ups:

Aberdeen are without the injured Vincent Besuijen, Jamie McGrath and Jack Milne while Nicky Devlin is a doubt.

Queen's Park are expected to reinstate Zach Mauchin, Nikola Ujdur, Seb Drozd and Adam Montgomery after being rested in midweek. Leon King is cup-tied and Ryan Duncan can't play against his parent club Aberdeen.

Aberdeen: Mitov, Jensen, Tobers, Knoester, Shinnie, Nilsen, Clarkson, Morris, Keskinen, Nisbet, Dabbagh.

Queen's Park: Ferrie, Welsh, Hurst, Drozd, Jackson, Tizzard, Turner, Devine, Montgomery, Rudden, Mauchin.

Anything else catch the eye?

This could be a nervy afternoon for Aberdeen against a Queen's Park side who have nothing to lose.

Manager Callum Davidson has got them well organised as Rangers found out in the last round. They did throw away a two-goal lead in midweek at home to Ayr Unitd to lose 3-2, but they rested plenty of their players.

The call here is an Aberdeen win and under 2.5 goals at 2/1 with Boylesports, with the Dons not being prolific scorers recently.

Aberdeen also have a bad habit of starting sluggishly. Back the draw at half time and a home win at full time at 3/1 with Boylesports.
