Real Betis will continue their quest for European football when they host struggling Getafe in a Spanish La Liga clash at the Estadio Benito Villamarin.
Manuel Pellegrini’s men are well beyond last season’s 15th place finish as they currently sit seventh on the table. They are certainly in the mix for a European spot with just five points between them and fifth place Real Sociedad.
Betis are seeking their 11th La Liga win of the season and will be confident of seeing off Getafe having claimed a 2-1 victory at Villarreal last time out. They have the second joint worst defensive record in La Liga with 38 goals conceded but often make up for it with the likes of Borja Iglesias and Sergio Canales in attack.
Getafe are out of sorts at the moment having failed to secure a win in their last five matches. A 1-0 home defeat to Real Sociedad last time out means the capital club head to Betis off the back of three straight La Liga losses.
The recent run of poor results has now seen Jose Bordala's side plummet down the table as they currently sit in 14th place. They have also struggled on their travels lately with four defeats in their last five away matches.
Getafe’s recent problems could be attributed to a lack of fire power in attack having found the net just once in their last five matches. They will be hopeful of improving that particular statistic against a Real Betis side that is not particularly solid at the back.
