With all teams having played at least five games in the Nations League A Group, a few favourites have emerged as contenders to win the competition. However, despite being firmly top of their group, one former Euros winner has been priced at 9/2.
That team is Portugal. Winners of the Euros in 2016, they have opened up a six-point gap at the top of their A division group. However, Spain are still favourites to take the competition overall, as they have amassed the same points total as their geographical neighbours. No firm favourite has been marked out at this early stage.

Current favourites
Spain – 7/2
The most recent winners of the Euros, Spain are the favourites to conquer the Nations League too. 13 points from their first five matches, Luis de la Fuente's side have been dominant in their group, with Spain's most recent victory coming in a 2-1 win over Denmark.
It would be hard to bet against the reigning Nations League champions, as they have only conceded two goals across their opening fixtures. They have secured top spot in the group already and will be confident going into the Championship play-off. At 7/2 they still provide good value despite being the favourites.
Germany – 4/1
Competition top scorers Germany are the second favourites to take home the Nations League trophy. 17 goals in just five games is an incredible return for Julian Nagelsmann's side. The goals have been shared across the team too, with Deniz Undav and Florian Wirtz leading the team's scoring charts with three strikes apiece.
A tough decision beckons for punters. Germany have been disappointing in recent tournaments, but seemed to have rediscovered themselves under Nagelsmann. Prime creator Jamal Musiala has been electric as usual, and the side are undefeated thus far. 4/1 seems fair for a national team looking to put themselves back on the map.
France – 4/1
Level with Germany in the betting market, France actually lost their first Nations League fixture 3-1 to Italy this term. However, the side have been on an upwards trajectory since then, scoring 11 goals and gaining 13 points. Having played six games, they have finished top of their group and move forward confidently after defeating Italy 3-1 in the reverse fixture.
Vengeance was sweet for Didier Deschamps' men, as the result saw them leapfrog their closest rivals and edge out the group. It must be noted that the side have not been struggling without talisman Kylian Mbappe, and therefore seem a fair shout for the title at 4/1. Randal Kolo Muani has been France's main marksman so far, with three goals to his name. If the French can keep up their current run of form there is no reason they cannot come out on top against some of Europe's other top sides.
Portugal – 9/2
Dark horses Portugal are another team punters ought to consider for the Nations League trophy. The 2016 Euros champions have been on a stellar run which has seen them go undefeated in their five group games and create a six-point lead over second place Croatia.
National hero Cristiano Ronaldo is also the competition's top scorer with five goals, a statistic no one should be surprised about. At 9/2 Portugal provide excellent value and would be a good outside pick based on their current form.
