MrFixIt’s Big Acca is a confidence-ranked accumulator built to give you control over risk.
Selections are ordered from strongest to weakest based on form, matchup and underlying performance. You decide where to stop. From the third selection onward, the cumulative odds update at every step, allowing you to lock in a sensible acca or keep building towards a bigger return.
Sunday sees me focus on the Premier League, League One, Irish Premier Division, Swiss Super League and Allsvenskan.
One list. Multiple exit points. You choose the risk level.
Hammarby hold the largest npxG ratio advantage among Sunday’s selections, with their figure of 0.69 sitting well above AIK’s 0.45. That difference is reflected across their wider attacking numbers, with Hammarby averaging 2.33 goals, 2.15 xG, 21.2 shots and 12.8 attempts from inside the box per game.
AIK have won eight of their 17 matches, but their 1.29 xG and 1.54 xGA leave them with a negative underlying difference. Hammarby have won 11 of 18 while scoring 42 goals and conceding only 15. Odds of 8/13 imply a 61.9% chance of an away victory, which looks fair given the overall statistical gap. Hammarby to win starts the list.
St Gallen are unbeaten after three matches, winning twice and drawing once while scoring seven goals. Their underlying numbers support those results, with averages of 2.35 xG, 21.3 shots and 14.3 attempts from inside the box. Their npxG ratio stands at 0.57 compared with Thun’s 0.35.
Thun have lost two of three matches and conceded 11 goals, with their defence allowing 2.32 xGA per game. That average rises to 3.33 xGA in their home defeat, while their two away games have still produced 1.81 xGA per match. St Gallen are priced at 5/8, implying a 61.5% chance of winning, and St Gallen to win is supported by the difference in chance creation and defensive control.
IFK Goteborg have struggled for results, winning five of 18 matches, but this selection rests heavily on Orgryte’s away record. The visitors have lost seven of nine away games, scoring seven goals and conceding 24, while their away process has produced only 0.86 xG against 2.20 xGA.
The overall npxG ratio comparison also favours IFK Goteborg, whose figure of 0.49 sits above Orgryte’s 0.36. The hosts average 1.66 xG and 18.8 shots at home, giving them a clear attacking advantage against a defence conceding 2.67 goals per away match. Odds of 4/7 imply a 63.6% chance of a home victory, making IFK Goteborg to win the third selection.
Hammarby, St Gallen & IFK Goteborg all to win at 2/1 with Unibet
Manchester United lost 2-0 at Hull on the opening weekend, but the result did not reflect the balance of chances. Michael Carrick’s side generated 2.19 npxG, 21 shots, 15 attempts from inside the box and two big chances while allowing 0.99 npxGA.
Ipswich beat Sunderland 2-1 after producing 1.43 xG against 0.91 xGA, so the promoted side arrive at Old Trafford with more than the result alone behind them. United still produced the stronger opening performance across xG, shots and territory, while home advantage strengthens their case. They are 3/7 to win, implying a 70% chance of victory, and Manchester United to win earns its place despite the opening defeat.
Hammarby, St Gallen, IFK Goteborg & Manchester United all to win at 3/1 with 10Bet
Luton are unbeaten after their opening two league matches, collecting four points while scoring six goals. Their npxG ratio of 0.57 sits well above Mansfield’s 0.44, with Luton averaging 1.90 xG and allowing 1.13 xGA.
Mansfield have taken three points from two games, but their underlying numbers have produced 1.02 xG against 1.30 xGA. Luton’s first away game ended in a 4-3 victory, with 10 attempts from inside the box and three big chances showing their attacking threat. Odds of 7/5 imply only a 41.7% chance of an away win, which looks low compared with the difference between the teams’ early performances. Luton to win adds the first odds-against selection.
Hammarby, St Gallen, IFK Goteborg, Manchester United & Luton all to win at 12/1 with 10Bet
Wigan have lost their opening two league matches, but their underlying numbers make them an interesting selection at Wimbledon. The visitors have averaged 1.97 npxG, 16 shots and nine attempts from inside the box, leaving them with an npxG ratio of 0.55 despite their results.
Wimbledon have taken one point without scoring, averaging only 0.46 npxG, 7.5 shots and 4.5 attempts from inside the box. Their npxG ratio of 0.28 is the weakest figure among every team included in the acca. Wigan’s results bring clear risk, but odds of 4/3 imply a 42.9% chance of victory and fail to reflect the size of the attacking difference. Wigan to win is the strongest value leg.
Hammarby, St Gallen, IFK Goteborg, Manchester United, Luton & Wigan all to win at 30/1 with Unibet
Shamrock Rovers have won 15 of their 26 league matches, compared with six victories from 25 for Derry City. The visitors have also scored more goals, conceded fewer and recorded the stronger npxG ratio, with their figure of 0.56 sitting above Derry’s 0.47.
Derry have been more competitive at home, winning five of 11 while losing twice, so Shamrock face a more difficult assignment than the overall table suggests. The visitors have still lost only four of 14 away matches and concede an average of 0.93 goals on their travels. Shamrock are priced at 13/8, implying a 38.1% chance of winning, and the size of that price makes Shamrock Rovers to win is worth including as the final and highest-risk selection.
