If you think all the exciting La Liga matches took place on Saturday, Sunday’s four fixtures are sure to surprise you.

It’s true that we’ll mainly be watching clashes between teams in the lower half of the table, but at the start of the season the gap between the top and the bottom is only a few points, and any result could propel the winner right up the table.

Below, you’ll find our expert tips and predictions for all La Liga matches on Sunday.

Today’s La Liga betting tips & predictions

Elche vs. Celta Vigo (1pm)

Elche and Celta Vigo are close together in the table, but their performances are worlds apart. Celta’s matches usually feature few goals, whilst Elche’s are complete chaos.

On paper, the home side have the league’s weakest defence, having conceded a whopping 17 goals so far, yet at the same time they rank amongst the highest-scoring teams. That isn’t enough, of course, when you’re conceding an average of nearly 2.5 goals per match.

It’s entirely possible we’ll see one of Celta’s low-scoring matches, but the fact that Elche lack a solid defence is, in my view, reason enough to expect goals.

Elche vs. Celta Vigo top betting tip: Over 2.5 goals

Real Sociedad vs. La Coruna (3:15pm)

These are two teams that have performed in a relatively similar and, one might say, positive manner so far. We might have expected more from Real Sociedad, but they are close enough to the European places at this stage.

It is certainly more impressive that La Coruna have suffered just one defeat since the start of the season as league newcomers. So far, they’ve recorded a win over Villarreal and a draw with Real Betis, so they’re certainly not to be underestimated.

Real Sociedad have obvious defensive problems, with only three teams having conceded more goals so far. This inconsistency leads me to expect a closely fought match.

Real Betis vs. Osasuna (5:30pm)

Osasuna’s good run was short-lived, as the team suddenly found themselves on a run of three consecutive defeats and a total of four matches without a win.

Real Betis have made a phenomenal start to the season, apart from that shocking 5–2 defeat to Levante. Apart from that result, they have dominated almost every opponent and are massive favourites to win this match.

The fact that they haven’t lost at home in La Liga since December 2025, when they played Barcelona, leads me to believe that this 11/20 for a win is well worth it.

Racing Santander vs. Valencia (5:30pm)

Apart from Barcelona, Racing Santander are the team whose matches have provided the most action so far. Seven rounds into the season, they are averaging 4.6 goals per match, whilst defensively they are by far the weakest side.

Valencia, meanwhile, are the league's weakest team, sitting bottom of the table with five defeats in seven matches. However, they won’t get a better chance of a win away from home, so they’ll have to give it their all.

With both sides in poor defensive form, we can expect a high-scoring encounter.

Racing Santander vs. Valencia top betting tip: Over 2.5 goals
