On paper, the big Bundesliga matches took place on Friday and Saturday, but the end of the week offers two more fixtures that promise plenty of excitement.

FC Koln host Borussia Monchengladbach, who are still searching for their first win of the season. Later on, there’s an intriguing clash between Freiburg and Schalke, a fixture steeped in history.

Keep reading below for our expert tips and predictions for the two Bundesliga matches on Sunday.

Today’s Bundesliga betting tips & predictions

FC Koln vs. Borussia Monchengladbach (2:30pm)

Borussia Monchengladbach are one of only two teams in Europe’s top five leagues to yet win a point at this point, and new manager Alexander Blessin has been tasked to change that.

Curiously, the last time the Foals went 0-4 at the start of the season, they faced FC Koln in the fifth round, and lost that match too. And right now, it certainly feels like a repeat of that scenario could be on the table.

The positive is that the hosts also have some defensive issues, which makes me believe that Over 2.5 should be the best option here. Both sides need the points, and we should see a goal-packed clash after the long break.

Freiburg vs. Schalke (4:30pm)

Freiburg continue to impress on all fronts, but now face newly-promoted Schalke, who also can boast a positive start, albeit not as wildly impressive.

Other than Bayern Munich, Freiburg are the highest scoring team in the league so far, and especially at home, where they scored nine goals in two matches. Considering that they have won more times against Schalke than any other Bundesliga side, I see enough reason to back them again.

Moreover, they have five wins in a row against them without conceding a single goal. The last time Schalke scored against Freiburg was in 2019.
