IT was France 4, Argentina 3 but as far as I was concerned it ended France 3, Argentina 5.
The best game of Russia 2018 produced a seven-goal thriller and more importantly for my Super Single it was the South Americans who collected most cards – most of them farewell ones.
Both of Saturday's games were entertaining and hopefully we'll see more of the same on Sunday as France tackle hosts Russia and Croatia meet Denmark.
I fancy the French and Croats and I've posted a separate preview covering both games.

It has to be a bit of both – for example last night you had a Uruguay side great at defending but a Portugal team capable of scoring so you have to weigh it up.
Sounds obvious but ideally looking for teams that score and conceed regularly. World cup is more difficult because other factors come in to play – probably more likely now with it being a knockout comp.
