WE'VE reached the last-16 stage at the World Cup and I'm looking forward to the matches between France and Argentina and Portugal and Uruguay.
No one has yet to hit the heights in Russia so while these games could either way I've made my call and posted a separate preview.

I'm mostly confident about Spain, Croatia, Brazil and Belgium but let's hear your thoughts.

Mascherano Booked 7/5 – has not looked great in any of the games. Can see him giving the ball away against a strong French midfield and diving in for a tackle .. Plus I have been staying in profit through the group stages on single bets. So I am hoping that this can stay that way.
Hard games to call today but I agree with Greg’s post and will be on that.
As for tomorrow my now Home nation of Denmark are in action against top quality opposition in Croatia, But as we have seen so far Denmark are very hard to break down and much like Sweden are collectively a strong team. They do not possess much of an attacking option and will be under the cosh for the majority of the game, due to Croatia’s superior midfield. Croatia also are a very good counter attacking team, so I can see DK sitting deep and seeing what the Croatia can muster up. A player i have been impressed by is Braithwaite who is very fast and direct and besides Eriksen looks the most dangerous player going forward for Denmark. He also works extremely hard and will give their left back a hard day at the office.
When all is said and done after 90 mins, I can see this ending in a draw .

Portugal have been poor aside from the frenetic opener against Spain. The Uruguay defence will be very aware of how to cancel out Ronaldo and aside from that Portugal look pretty toothless as well as vulnerable in defence.
Although France should win on Argentina’s previous performances and the talent in the French team I have a weird feeling Argentina will pull their socks up here so going on a hunch alone.

Also if you hit the post/bar does that count as on target?
Post/bar doesn’t count (unless it ends up in) as on target definition is if it would enter the goal if unblocked.
Unsure if headers count as shots but I would assume so if it is clearly an attempt on goal. From looking online, headers are a type of shot but bookies may have stipulations to restrict this.

BBC sport have 2 shots on target for each team so far in the Portugal match sothey are classing headers as shots
