The 3-3 draw between Portugal and Spain was just what the World Cup needed after two draw affairs earlier in the day.
All that saved those games was late winners for Uruguay and Iran but the Morocco v Iran game in particular was a turgid affair.
I tipped Uruguay to win and a draw in the Spain game but Morocco's defeat beat my double and the post bombed the Super Single with Edinson Cavani doing everything but score against Egypt.
Well done to all the winners especially those on Ronaldo who is now 2-1 favourite with the likes of McBookie and bet365 to be top scorer – and even at that price it doesn't look a bet as who else is going to score for the Portuguese.
After his double Spain's Diego Costa is a best 8-1 at Betfred while Cavani and Luis Suarez have gone out to 40-1 after drawing a blank in their opener.
Lionel Messi will have seen Ronaldo at his best and will be keen to emulate his La Liga rival when he makes his tournament bow against Iceland.
