ANOTHER good night for winners on the site and I was pleased to contribute.
My Champions League treble landed at 4-1 thanks to Spurs, Porto and over 2.5 goals at PSG but the English treble was a loser despite loads of goals at Aston Villa v Nottm Forest. Btts was in after about 10 minutes and a remarkable finished 5-5 with Villa having something like 26 attempts at goal to 10-man Forest's eight.
That's 16 goals in Villa's last two matches so definitely a team to look out for when you're doing your goals bets this weekend.

I've put up Rosenborg v Celtic, Rangers v Villarreal, Vorskla v Arsenal and Chelsea v PAOK. The Arsenal game has been moved to Kiev after trouble in Ukraine so this should give them an advantage.
Celtic have a decent record against Rosenborg and the Norwegians are set to field a weakened team ahead of Sunday's cup final with Stromsgodset. Brendan Rodgers's men also have a cup final but unlike Rosenborg can still make the Europa League KO stages so should win this but are extremely short at 7-10.
Rangers are much bigger at home to Villarreal and they have nothing to fear after drawing in Spain. Start the Top Treble with Rangers +1.
Next up I'm on Zurich in Group C at home to Larnaca. They and Leverkusen have dominated with three wins from four each so it's all about who tops the table. Zurich beat Larnaca 1-0 away and are a decent price to do the double.
Complete the treble with AC Milan -1 at home to Dudelange. The Italians are in three-way fight to qualify with Real Betis and Olympiakos so should take full advantage against the Luxembourg side.
They won 1-0 away but Dudelange were beaten 3-0 at Betis and 5-0 at Olympiakos so clearly struggle on the road against better opposition.

Finally getting a minute to myself with wife and kids away out the door early.
Millwall v Birmingham
Today’s championship matches sees two sides who are scoring for fun recently but also conceding for fun recently. Millwall have a tendency to let other teams score against them at the fortress that once was the den. It seems now that it isn’t such a scary place to go to. Their last 5 games in all have produced a total of 17 goals and 3 have seen both to score. At home they have conceded a totally of 9 in a row with the only clean sheet against Ipswich in a 3-0 home win. They have also scored over 1.5 team goals in 6 of them.
Birmingham are on a fantastic run of no clean sheets and sees them with 23 goals in their last 5 games and all of them seen both to score and all seen over 2.5 goals. They come into tonight’s game hoping to keep their scoring run continuing and away from home they have also scored in their last 5 games.
I can see an open match and can again see both sides contributing and I feel millwall will score 2 plus but again I’ll add caution to the wind and take the value in over 2.5 goals at 11/10 (expected 10/11 or evens) with 365.

Its back to the fortress for the German giants and they should make easy work of their Belgian opponents.
The first game finished with Dortmund running out 1-0 winners but I don’t see it being so close tonight.

The Serbians are a tough team to beat at home (just ask Liverpool), however, on the road they are vulnerable without their hostile crowd supporting them.
They lost 6 goals in Paris and 4 in Liverpool – I don’t see them improving that away record against a side who have already beaten Liverpool and drawn twice with PSG – Napoli more than capable of racking up a decent score here
The Rest
Spurs host Inter and Barcelona travel to PSV – an Easy case to be made for these two matches for goals and as I said earlier, in my opinion its the best looking set of fixtures I’ve seen this season in the UCL.
You have two very strong favs in Dortmund and Napoli that should deliver a decent amount of goals and the matches at PSG, Spurs, and PSV have goals written all of them. I’d be really surprised if those three didn’t see at least 3 goals in each game

I’ll be doing my best to put together a Stoke V Derby preview in plenty of time for tonight. On paper certainly, it looks a tough one for both sides and therefore tough to call.
I’ve been reading up on a few stats regards where Derby are now compared to this stage last year + some worrying stats – like we’ve not kept a clean sheet in 10 league games on the bounce. But, Derby have won more pts from a losing position than any other team in the league. 13 pts in total. I think I’ve counted 6 or 7 times in the last 10 or 11 games ( these are stats just off the top of my head – but they’re not far off ) – Derby have conceded first.
We have Forsyth and Olsson out for a lengthy spell, Curtis Davies played a role in central defence from ht in the last match after Tomori got an early yellow card. That seemed to sure up the back 4 a bit more but Sheff Wed did waste chances. Derby welcomed back Mason Mount from injury to the starting line up and Bryson also made a 2nd half cameo.
We’re Ok going forward, but far too slow starting. By the time we decide to start playing, we’re usually a goal down with it all to do. Waghorn is still out but Wilson and Marriot are regularly putting a shift in. They both scored in the 2-1 victory at Hillsbrough at the weekend.
There is also the small matter of Rowett leaving Derby for Stoke and the grass not being greener on the other side. He got a big transfer kitty to push for auto-promotion for the potters at the first time of asking and although it is really early days and winnable by at least any team in the top 2/3 of the league, Stoke have not had an easy time adjusting.
Derby have won 5, drawn 1, lost one in 7 league matches. The biggest blot on our copybook was at home to Villa.
If a team does want to win this and it doesn’t become one of those stuck in the mud 90 minute pinball games, then I think Derby might just edge it. Stoke have home advantage, but Derby do seem more comfortable imposing their game on the opposition away from home. The youth ( average team age ) is 3 years less than last years squad and the energy levels and hunger of the likes of Wilson and Marriott could well be the decider. A slip up now for the rams could start a pattern that I hope won’t happen. I’d take a point before kick-off, but if we make a decent start, we have every chance of grabbing all 3.

Not a lot to forgive really and it was another great season for anyone backing goals (especially late goals) albeit with a bit less value now the intetest in games is much higher.
I’m not a huge fan of putting money on the pre-season cups and usually use them as an early indicator for the main leagues and cups that will follow, but there are some match-ups do offer a bit of interest with certain teams having much more to prove than others!
This fixture certainly looks that way and I fancy it to be an interesting 90 (95+ 😂) minutes – both teams finished respective and respectable 2nd places in their divisions with Briedablik having a cracker of a campaign in The Urvalsdeid and HK doing exactly the same in 1 Deild.
Hard to think this one won’t have goals as the squads test each other out for the coming season’s H2H’s and it’s well worth bearing in mind Briedablik’s fine away form at the end of the campaign which saw them hit 12 in the last 4 league away days!

Not a lot to forgive really and it was another great season for anyone backing goals (especially late goals) albeit with a bit less value now the intetest in games is much higher.
I’m not a huge fan of putting money on the pre-season cups and usually use them as an early indicator for the main leagues and cups that will follow, but there are some match-ups do offer a bit of interest with certain teams having much more to prove than others!
This fixture certainly looks that way and I fancy it to be an interesting 90 (95+ 😂) minutes – both teams finished respective and respectable 2nd places in their divisions with Briedablik having a cracker of a campaign in The Urvalsdeid and HK doing exactly the same in 1 Deild.
Hard to think this one won’t have goals as the squads test each other out for the coming season’s H2H’s and it’s well worth bearing in mind Briedablik’s fine away form at the end of the campaign which saw them hit 12 in the last 4 league away days!
