Today’s Serie A betting tips & predictions
Monza vs. Cagliari (5:30pm)
Monza’s return to the top flight has so far yielded no positives, having lost four of their first six matches of the season. One small bright spot is that they are scoring a surprisingly high number of goals, but defensively they are among the three weakest teams.
Cagliari, on the other hand, have been the big surprise so far and were in fourth place going into this round; a win against Monza would see them return to that position. Their success so far is down to their impeccable defensive play, having conceded the fewest goals alongside Roma.
For some reason, however, the bookmakers are favouring Monza, and this gives us the chance to back a double chance in favour of the visitors at good odds.
Monza vs. Cagliari top betting tip: Draw or Cagliari
Parma vs. Torino (7:45pm)
Step by step, Torino are improving, whilst Parma seem destined to be in a relegation battle this season.
Parma have suffered four defeats in their first six matches and currently have the league’s weakest attack, having scored just four goals. At home, however, there have been glimmers of promise, and they have been relatively consistent.
Torino are a long way from the level of the league’s top sides, but they are scoring goals and, little by little, picking up results amidst the defeats. In all three of their away fixtures so far, we’ve seen goals at both ends. In my view, there’s a fairly good chance of a draw here, but to start with, I’ll go for BTTS.
