La Liga continues on Sunday with four matches, all of which promise twists and turns and plenty of action.
We start with a battle at the bottom of the table between Osasuna and Racing Santander, and continue with Celta Vigo v Alaves, before Malaga's latest attempt to secure their first win of the season against Real Sociedad. The highlight of the day comes later in the evening when Real Madrid host Sevilla.
Below, you’ll find our expert tips and predictions for all La Liga matches on Sunday.
Today’s La Liga betting tips & predictions
Osasuna vs. Racing Santander (1pm)
Osasuna and Racing Santander face similar challenges, although their performances differ considerably.
Osasuna’s home fixtures have been rather low-scoring and usually end with 1–2 goals. Racing Santander, by contrast, have averaged 4.5 goals per match so far this season, with the key point here being that they have the weakest defence.
Away from home, they have conceded 16 goals in four matches, making the 19/20 odds for an Osasuna win an attractive option.
Osasuna vs. Racing Santander top betting tip: Osasuna to win
Celta Vigo vs. Alaves (3:15pm)
On the one hand, Celta Vigo haven’t lost any La Liga matches, but at the same time they haven’t won any either. Four of their last five have ended in draws.
Alaves are in poorer form, having failed to win any of their last four matches, but they are far more prolific and creative in attack. As visitors, however, they still haven't won this season.
If Celta Vigo continue with their current form, we may see another draw, as Alaves have not impressed with anything away from home yet.
Celta Vigo vs. Alaves top betting tip: Draw
Malaga vs. Real Sociedad (5:30pm)
Malaga's search for their first win of the season continues against Real Sociedad, who are on the up in the domestic league following a poor start to the season.
The hosts have indeed suffered just one defeat in four home games, but they have failed to impress in any of those matches. Looking at the names of their opponents, it’s clear they certainly should have won at least one or two of those matches.
Real Sociedad have significant defensive problems, having conceded in every match this season except one. But we know what potential they have in attack, which is why I’ll be focusing on over 2.5 goals.
Malaga vs. Real Sociedad top betting tip: Over 2.5 goals
Real Madrid vs. Sevilla (8pm)
Sevilla’s improvement compared with previous seasons is evident, but so far they have only performed well against teams in the lower reaches of the table.
Their two defeats so far this season have come against Atletico Madrid and Barcelona, and now they face Real Madrid, who will be in high spirits following their magnificent comeback against Roma earlier this week.
Given that Los Blancos have won 13 of their last 15 meetings with Sevilla (D2), it is difficult to bet against them.
