FRANCE have shrugged off the loss of Franck Ribery in much the same way as Colombia have reacted to Radamel Falcao's injury.

Where James Rodriguez has stepped up to the plate for Colombia it's Karim Benzema who has filled the void for the French.

Benzema's contributed three goals – and I'm backing him to net against Nigeria at 20-21 at McBookie and BetVictor. He is 7-2 at Ladbrokes and William Hill to break the deadlock and his recent international record is nine in nine.

Olivier Giroud has also been impressive and if the Arsenal ace starts is worth a look at 11-8 with bet365. The Africans' best display was in losing 3-2 to Argentina, with Ahmed Musa hitting a dazzling double, so they can't be written off and Musa is 19-4 at 888sport to net.

He is 12-1 at William Hill to score first and of course France conceded three goals in their first two games before that dull 0-0 with Ecuador.

Both to score is a possibility at 11-10 with McBookie and William Hill and over 2.5 goals pays 10-11 at William Hill with France having more attempts at goal (50) than any other side in the group stage.

However, it's a France win for me but they are no bigger than 1-2 with the likes of William Hill and McBookie. Nigeria are 13-2 at bet365 with the draw paying 7-2 at boylesports.

Mr F, Nigerian should not even be in the last 16. They got here thanks to more awful referee decisions from Peter O Leary this time. Either way this is as far as they go.

@cooldude ur totally wrong it was a well deserved win.. The nigerian emenike had an edge over the defence of the bosnia’s due to his beasty body..nt all things should be blamed on ref..no one is perfect..it was well deserved and plotted…nigeria’s match against argentina showed the african champions are nt fully set to play the playoffs.70percent of arg’s players grew tired b4 the 80th minute..of which d nigerian coach keshi should have capitalized on it and put in the liverpool/chelsea frontman moses to drag the defence a little more and bring in a goal..or 2…dat country NIGERIA shouldnt be ruled out..over3.5card is definately d best bet for me here.france have met an african side 3times an won jst 1.lost d rest

mr.dizzy, Im giving you my opinion and dont tell me Bosnia had a good goal ruled out for an offside that never was. Its a disgrace to the good of the game referees that continue to ruin the tournament game after game.

Bosnia deserved it, but you don’t always get what you deserve in football
