GROUP E gets under way at 5pm today with Colombia v Greece and it's followed in the early hours of the morning by Ivory Coast v Japan.
The popular bet on any Greece match will be no scorer and my call is 0-0 a 1-0 Colombia win a possibility.
Games so far have bucked the trend of South Africa and we know we'll be in for a treat if the Greeks, who scored the least goals in qualifying, join the entertainment party.
If a fit Radamel Falcao was playing I'd be all over the South Americans. But even without the Monaco start they have plenty of firepower with players such as James Rodriguez, Carlos Bacca, Jackson Martinez and Teofilo Gutirrez who was leading scorer in qualifying.
Without seeing starting line-ups I'd consider Rodriguez to score first at 7-1 with Ladbrokes and McBookie and he is 31-10 at McBookie to net at any time. No scorer returns 6-1 at Ladbrokes.
So far I've picked 3/4 match results and 3/4 first scorers. Interestingly 3/4 matches have been HT draw, 3/4 have been over 3.5 goals, 3/4 have been both to score and 3/4 have saw favourites win.
That's why I'm considering HT 0-0 at 13-10 in the Colombia game.

Mversed, I hate predicting 0-0s – early goals can change everything but that was a scrappy one not like the Greeks to concede.
Right Mr F, Greece matches don’t produce that many goals. And even when i see a low scoring match, i just refuse to have a punt because i believe football’s about goals, and that’s my philosophy of football.
