Senegal and Japan are the surprise leaders of Group H after they each won against the odds on the opening matchday.
Japan's victory was aided by the 3rd minutes sending off of Colombian Carlos Sanchez, but you can only beat what's put in front of you as they say, and the Samuri Blue did well to carve out a 2-1 against their more illustrious opposition. It was the first time an Asian side had beaten a South American team at a World Cup Finals. Today they have the chance to make another piece of history by becoming the first Asian nation to win their first two World Cup matches.
Standing in their way are Senegal who are flying the flag for African. They were the only team from the continent to win in the first round of matches, although they did so amid some controversy when M'Baye Niang ran back on to the pitch after receiving treatment to intercept a back pass and score their second in a 2-1 win.
Senegal have now won 50% of their matches at World Cup Finals and are 11/8 favourties to add to that win-rate today. That represents a bit of value for a squad packed with players plying their trade across the European leagues.
The trend of penalties at the World Cup shows no sign of letting up so getting onside with Senegal to score a penalty or backing their apparently regular penalty taker, Moussa Konaté to net first looks the value calls at 6/1 for those interested in a longer priced single.
