Very rarely do I get rewarded for backing a horse I tipped up the time before, especially after a quick turnaround, but Jordan Electrics got us the win.

I was debating whether to give him another chance, but when I saw the quality of horses he was up against, I thought it was a no-brainer to give him another try.

With the quick turnaround, he was only worthy of a 1pt win, as you never know how a horse of his age can recover over the space of a couple of days. He made all and didn't see another rival up until the final half furlong, when they got close to him.

Distant Shore 6/5 (1pt) – Nottingham 4.45

It's extremely frustrating that the early prices on Distant Shore have evaporated in no time. She opened up at 9/4, and I would have snapped their hands off to get that type of value, so I can't argue with the fact that she is a much shorter price now.

At 6/5, she probably is too short a price now, but with her being the only horse I fancy on the day, I'll take it. I'm not sure if she'll drift out to a little bigger, maybe 6/4. In reality, I could see her getting a little bit shorter, as her form looks very solid against a relatively weak field.

In my opinion, the horse that could be the biggest danger is the oldest horse in the race, Great Mates. I think that the older horses have a good strike rate against the younger horses, as they are physically and mentally more mature. She won last time out, but is drifting in the market, which is a little surprising.

Of the other three-year-olds, I wasn't convinced by their form lines. Darzah was a small distance ahead of Luna Celeste, yet one if 7/2 and the other is 10/1. I think they deserve to be similar odds.

Distant Shore was second by a head last time out at Sandown. The winner has a very good 7lb claimer in the saddle, so was handicapped to do what she did. She has since finished third in a Class 3. Lady Milton, back in third, has since finished second in a good Class 5 event. Queen's Companion (fifth) has won since.

That run at Sandown was her first run over a mile, and today she faces another half a furlong. This extended trip will suit, and I think she has plenty of progression to make, as she is lightly raced.
