It was a very rare double on Sunday, and it didn't land.

Cankoura got the job done to roll the double onto Al Riffa. Cankoura was very well punted and went off the odds he should have been.

Al Riffa was given a terrible ride by Dylan Brown-McMonagle. It really does infuriate me when jockeys struggle to get clear runs on a horse in a small field event. It shouldn't happen, but I could see it from a mile away that he was going to get blocked. It was a very poor decision to position Al Riffa on the inside.

With a clear run-through, would he have won? Potentially not, but I'd like to see him get a fair crack at it, rather than speculating.

Jordan Electrics 3/1 (1pt) – Ayr 3.30

Similar to Danny Tudhope, Paul Mulrennan is a jockey I can't get behind. He always does me over when I tip his horses up, and does me over when I back against him. He is back on board Jordan Electrics, taking over from Laura Young, who was on him three days ago when I tipped up.

The more I look at this race, the more I think that Jordan Electrics has the best chance. It is a quick turnaround, so it does put a question mark over his fitness. However, with it being sprint racing, it shouldn't take too much out of him for running a couple of days ago.

His form of recent years would be more than enough to win this race. He is getting older in age, but he showed at Hamilton in a Class 2 race that he can still compete at a solid level. He is 3lbs worse off than his last run, because the claimer is no longer riding, but he does get a change in headgear, which could be the key to getting a bit more out of him.

There are some good handicappers in this race, and they arrive in good form from decent races, but I thought that the last run from Jordan Electrics was the safest form line to use. He was behind two very good handicappers/Listed quality horses at Hamilton, and I struggle to see how any of the other horses in this race would do any better against that level of horse.

I tipped him up at 10/1 the other day, and he is 3/1 for this. It's probably a tad shorter than I'd like, but as I believe that it's not the best of races in terms of quality, 3/1 is probably the correct price.
