For Thursday's Lucky 15 tips, Cairnzy and Rizzel have selected two horses each between the meetings at Hamilton and Epsom.

Let us know in the comments what your fancies are for Thursday's racing!

Cairnzy's Tips –

Bright Spark 15/8 – Hamilton 4.55

Jim Goldie has his string in good shape at present and it may be worth sticking with his runner in the finale at Hamilton tomorrow.

Bright Spark did well to come off the pace at Newcastle last time out to sweep past and win with a well-timed ride by Alice Keighley. He's up 4lb for that recent success and another bold bid is expected with Paul Mulreenen taking over in the saddle.

Giselles Izzy 5/2 – Hamilton 4.25

Giselles Izzy is a bit of a Hamilton specialist and can make it back-to-back wins in 5 days after winning at this course only 5 days ago over 6f. She is up 5lb for that recent success, but jockey Mohammad Tabti claims most of that back, making her a massive player if running to a similar standard.

Rizzel's Tips –

Roost – Epsom 7.35

The booking of Serena Brotherton catches the eye on the Ralph Beckett trained Roost, in the Ladies' Derby Handicap for amateur jockeys.

Serena doesn't ride anywhere near the amount she used to, but her experience in this type of race is invaluable. She has proven over the years that she is up there with being the best Female amateur jockey on the flat, and it's worth taking note that a big trainer like Ralph Beckett has booked her to ride his horse, especially when she is 1/1 when combining this year, which came in a big handicap for the female amateurs at York.

Roost has to carry a huge weight of 10st 11lbs in this contest, but he is dropping into a Class 5 for the time first time since he won at Ffos Las last August off a 2lb lower mark. When he did win at Ffos Las off a similar mark, he put in a big performance off a decent weight for the class and the numbers suggested he was ahead of the handicapper, so dropping into this grade for the first time since that win and off this mark, we could see him return to the winner's enclosure again. He has been competing in much tougher races since that win, with runs in Class 2, 3 and 4 contests, and though his form has tailed off because of that, his last run was a decent effort and looked like he was returning to form. He has been tried over different trips since his win at Ffos Las, but is back over 12f, and the blinkers go on for the first time in over a year, so a lot of things are pointing towards a good run.

Miss Information – Epsom 8.05

A lot of horses turn up to the Epsom 8.05 race in great form, with Miss Information and Guiteau running a week after the pair recorded emphatic wins, and are both ahead of the handicapper. Of the pair, I thought the Andrew Balding horse, Miss Information was the one to latch onto. The 3yo filly of Blue Point is running off the same mark as last time out, but doesn't get the 7lb claimer on board so is effectively 7lb worse off, but Oisin gets back in the saddle and that's probably enough to bridge the gap of the weight she has lost with the claimer not riding. She gets my vote over the Dominic Ffrench Davis C&D winner based on she won in a Class 4 last time out, and did it with ease, whereas the other runner is carrying a 5lb penalty and that was in a weak Class 5 contest, and considering he was losing in Class 6 races last year off a lower mark, I struggle to see him winning in this grade.

WHAT IS A LUCKY 15 BET?

A Lucky 15 bet consists of 15 unique bets, covering every possible combination that comes from backing four selections. The 15 bets are broken down like this:

– 1 fourfold accumulator

– 4 trebles, with each treble omitting one of your selections

– 6 doubles, again covering every possible combination

– 4 singles

The attraction of a Lucky 15 is that it offers many more ways to win than a standard accumulator. A Lucky 15 uses both your acca and your singles as well as producing trebles and doubles that reward you for correctly calling 2/4 or 3/4 of your selections. To cover the 15 separate bets, a Lucky 15 uses your stake 15 times. If you were to place £1 on a Lucky 15, you would be staking £15 in total across the various bets.
