A busy day of racing awaits punters on Monday, with plenty of meetings happening throughout the UK and Ireland. Cairnzy and Rizzel have selected 2 horses each for Monday's Lucky 15 bet.
As usual, let us know in the comment section who you fancy for Monday's racing.
Cairnzy's Tips
Stressfree 11/8 – Ayr 4.10
Stressfree looks poised to strike for the inform David O'Meara team after some decent-placed efforts in his last two outings. Despite finishing third last time out at York, there was plenty to like about Stressfree's performance that day. He traveled smoothly throughout that contest and was denied a clear run on several occasions. He had to weave his way through horses before staying on nicely to lose by 3/4 of a length to Karmology. The form of that contest reads well with Karmology going on to finish second in listed company a few days ago.
Lady Wingalong 11/8 – Wolverhampton 6.55
I was impressed with how Lady Wingalong went about her business last week, hammering home to win by three and a half lengths. She was in good form previous to her Sailsbury success and the form of those previous outings is now reading well. Most of this field is completely out of sorts and Lady Wingalong can make easy work of this race if turning up in similar form.
Rizzel's Tips
Bright Legend 9/1 – Galway 4.50
For the opener of the Galway Festival we have a 4-year-old novice hurdle race, and as it looks on paper, it's a bit of a minefield, but I thought that Bright Legend offered a decent amount of value.
Bright Legend was poor on his last start, but that came at the Cheltenham Festival, but prior to that he showed a good level of ability. The run at Naas before the Cheltenham Festival is notoriously known for producing some very good juvenile hurdlers, and the winner of that race managed to win again, and the fourth-placed horse was seventh at Cheltenham and then was third at the Punchestown festival meeting when finishing behind Pigeon Island who is in this race, but has to carry a penalty.
Denis Hogan is a crafty trainer and loves to sneak winners at the big meetings, so I'm expecting his horse to be primed for today.
All Greek To Me 9/4 – Southwell 4.35
There are some big yards being represented in this six-runner handicap, which has mean there is some value hanging around on All Greek To Me.
James Fanshawe's Ulysses gelding has started to show his ability since moving into handicaps, with his best run coming last time out when stepped up to 12f. He found that trip on the short side, so connections have opted for further which seems ideal for him at the moment. He was staying on towards the end at Wolverhampton, so this longer straight at Southwell and the extra distance should see him going close at the very minimum.
WHAT IS A LUCKY 15 BET?
A Lucky 15 bet consists of 15 unique bets, covering every possible combination that comes from backing four selections. The 15 bets are broken down like this:
– 1 fourfold accumulator
– 4 trebles, with each treble omitting one of your selections
– 6 doubles, again covering every possible combination
– 4 singles
The attraction of a Lucky 15 is that it offers many more ways to win than a standard accumulator. A Lucky 15 uses both your acca and your singles as well as producing trebles and doubles that reward you for correctly calling 2/4 or 3/4 of your selections. To cover the 15 separate bets, a Lucky 15 uses your stake 15 times. If you were to place £1 on a Lucky 15, you would be staking £15 in total across the various bets.
