After making it six successive winners at the San Siro on Thursday, Friday’s Football Bet of the Day sees me delve into the World Cup qualifiers, and I’ve highlighted one nation who I am keen to get on side.

Romania kickstart their World Cup Qualification campaign on Friday night as they welcome poor-travelling Bosnia to Bucharest in a fixture that I’m keen to get the hosts on side.
Romania comes into their World Cup Qualifying campaign after cruising their Nations League group, earning promotion to League B.
Mircea Lucescu’s hosts did the double over Kosovo, Lithuania and Cyprus – albeit they were awarded a 3-0 win over Kosovo due to the abandonment of the match – scoring 15 goals and conceding just twice in the other five clashes.
Bosnia, on the other hand, head into their World Cup Qualification campaign after being relegated to League B in the Nations League after finishing bottom of their group.
Sergej Barbarez’s visitors expectedly finished behind both Germany and The Netherlands but also ended up four points adrift of Hungary after picking up just two points from their six clashes (W0-D2-L4).
Bet of the Day
Romania have been strong at home in recent years, with The Tricolorii winning eight of their previous nine competitive fixtures in front of their supporters (W8-D1-L0) – scoring 2+ goals in seven (78%) of them – and I’m backing them to be too strong for their poor-travelling visitors.
Bosnia have struggled badly on their travels in recent years, with The Dragons' win at minnows Lichtenstein in 2023 being their only competitive success away from home in their last 12 (W1-D4-L7), losing seven of their past nine (W1-D1-L7), shipping 2+ goals in 6/7 (86%) of those defeats.
What’s more, Romania have been victorious in all three of their meetings with Bosnia on home soil by an aggregate score of 9-1 – including a 4-1 success in their most recent meeting in the Nations League in September 2022 – and I’m backing The Tricolorii to be too strong for their travel-sick opponents.
