Football Bet of the Day

Following on from Monday’s winner in Rome, Wednesday’s Football Bet of the Day sees me focus on the Premier League, and I’ve highlighted one team that I’m happy to get on side.

⚽️ Southampton vs Crystal Palace

🏴󠁧󠁢󠁥󠁮󠁧󠁿 Premier League

⏰ Wednesday 2 April, 19:45

Two clubs in contrasting form meet at St. Mary’s tomorrow evening as in-form Crystal Palace travel to relegation certainties Southampton in a fixture that I’m keen to get the visitors on side.

Oliver Glasner’s visitors come into this clash in great form, winning six of their past eight Premier League matches, as well as sealing their place in the semi-finals of the FA Cup with a 0-3 victory away at Fulham at the weekend.

After losing three of their opening four Premier League contests on their travels this season, The Eagles are unbeaten in each of their next nine (W6-D3-L0) – winning their last four and six of their past seven – and should claim another maximum on their travels against a Saints side that are well out of their depth.

Ivan Juric’s hosts are already destined for relegation and have been for a few months, with the only thing they seemingly have to play for is avoiding breaking Derby County’s lowest point tally of 11 in the 2007/08 season.

The Saints have managed just nine points from their opening 29 Premier League matches this season and come into this clash having lost 11 of their previous 12 encounters – with their only win in that run coming away at fellow strugglers Ipswich – as well as losing each of their last nine in front of their supporters by an aggregate score of 31-6.

Bet of the Day

As already alluded to above, Crystal Palace have been in sensational form on their travels, with The Eagles winning each of their past four and six of their last seven Premier League matches on the road and should be too strong for a Saints side that has lost 12 of their 14 matches at home in the Premier League this season (W1-D1-L12), including each of their previous nine.

The Eagles have also scored 2+ goals in seven of their past nine Premier League fixtures on their travels – including in each of their last four – and I’m also backing them to bag another double against a Saints backline that has shipped multiple goals in eight of their past nine and 10 of their last 13 home games in the Premier League.
