Lille, meanwhile, are in the midst of a 10-game unbeaten run in Ligue 1 and find themselves just two places and three points behind Marseille.
Bruno Genesio’s side played their part in a 3-2 thriller when defeating Sturm Graz in the Champions League on Wednesday night and more goalmouth action could be on the cards at the Orange Velodrome.
Both teams to score would have been the right bet in four of Lille’s last five Ligue 1 matches.
This selection would have also been a winning one in four of five Marseille's previous five matches in the French top-flight.
Villarreal vs Real Betis (Sunday, 17:30)
Villarreal will look to get back to winning ways in La Liga when they welcome Real Betis to the Estadio de la Ceramica on Sunday evening.
Marcelino’s men saw their five-game unbeaten run in the league come to an end in 2-0 defeat at Athletic Bilbao last weekend.
As for Real Betis, they are now winless in five, but they did hold Barcelona to a 2-2 draw last Saturday.
Villarreal were involved in a rare BTTS no game last weekend but they can revert back to type when they go up against the Green-and-Whites.
Each team has obliged in 12 of the Yellow Submarine’s 15 La Liga matches this season, including six of their seven home games.
