As ever, following an international break we’ve a couple of quiet days on the football front.
Unless you’re clued up on Women’s European football or and expert in the fifth tier Scottish Lowland league then there’s not too much to get excited about.
There’s four fixtures in the latter competition tonight and three of them have the favourites priced up at 1/5 – making for a Treble at just 7/10.
In the other match Cumbernauld Colts, who sit third in the table travel to East Stirlingshire who are 14th. The hosts are unbeaten in five in the league including a 2-1 win over Celtic B, however that was against a really young line up for the Hoops with 10 players rested following their UEFA Youth League match earlier that week.
Their other win in that period cam against Edinburgh Uni who remain winless and with just one point after 12 games.
The sides drew 1-1 last month but in light of the fact there’s little on this evening a small bet on the Colts at 5/4 could be as good as it gets.

Uruguay have been scoring and conceding for fun in these qualifiers thus far, Brazil are Brazil and should have more then enough quality to get at least one goal.

A dreadful performance from Brazil last night costs the NAP. No shot on target and didn’t threaten at all except from hitting the bar with a long range free kick. Not helped by going down to 10 men when Richarlison came on for the injured Neymar! At least there were 2 goals to at least get half of the stakes back. Argentina won the NB to just about break even on the 2 games.

Not one for blind punts, but somehow I found myself watching Man U women v psg last week. Man U were very lucky to get a draw and I’m surprised to see psg to win and score over 1 tonight at 23/20. Also folks on here have been great with advice during my cancer journey. On second round of chemo now and it’s been so much worse than round one. From experience, is round three normally worse again or a bit better? Got some bad news that there’s a secondary in my liver, but just a single tumour and still hope they can take that out too. Fingers crossed!
Nairn county vs Inverness CT B
Although this is listed as ICT B, from what I can find out at the moment it’s expected they will load the team with first team players for this game. Expected to be a good crowd too at Nairns ground.
Nairn haven’t seen a game go under 2.5mgs since 19/08. ICT B went through the last round of this cup with a 1-0 win over Rothes who are a similar level but don’t see as many goals in their games. It’s a semi final and I can see both teams being up for this. If ICT do as expected name a strong line up then the goal line on offer could represent value and it’s worth keeping an eye on lineups. If they don’t Nairn are more than capable of making it a game and their players view this as a good chance to progress to a final for the chance of silverware.
