France won silverware in the shape of the Nations League Trophy, Denmark and Germany booked their place at the 2022 World Cup and Ronaldo scored a record 10th international hat-trick.
Scotland kept their qualification dreams alive with two late winners, Wales still have hope too while England need just one win from their remaining two matches to secure their place in Qatar.
All in all it was pretty entertaining week of international football but us punters will be glad to turn our attention to club football once more.
There’s not much to get excited about on Wednesday (or Thursday!) however, unless you’re a fan of the women’s game where there’s another round of Champions League matches across Europe. Aside from that we’ve a couple of Premier League Under 21 teams in action on the EFL. Man Utd’s youths make the trip to the north east to face League One Sunderland while Chelsea’s youngsters are also on the road at Bristol Rovers. Both matches are previewed below.
Keep an eye out too for The Caddy’s tips on Wednesday. He’ll be previewing the best of the action on the European and PGA Tours and providing us with his best bets.
