Last Tuesday night we watched on as one team tried to salvage something from a disappointing season, while their opponents taught them a lesson in how to eke out a crucial 1-0 win.
Last week, it was Man Utd and Atletico Madrid in the Champions League, this week it's Dunfermline v Partick Thistle.
The Pars have had a shocking campaign and sit bottom of the table. Visitors Partick Thistle may not be in Atletico's class but know a thing or two about a 1-0 win with five of their last six victories coming via the single goal scoreline.
In typical Thistle style, after manoeuvering themselves in to a position to challenge for the title, they've blown their chances in the space of two games. Defeat to Morton was followed by a thumping at the hands of Hamilton so the Jags need to pick themselves up or face a fight with Raith Rovers, who are three points behind them, for a 4th placed finish.
Dunfermline are now six without a win and have won just four times at East End Park so despite their desperate need for three points couldn't be backed with any confidence at 15/8. Instead, Partick Thistle should be fired up to respond to that 4- defeat to Accies at the weekend and if pushed the 11/8 on an away win edges it. A 1-0 win you say? That can be backed at 13/2.
With a clutch of games in League One, League Two and the National League, Jamie Kennedy has pieced together a 15/2 Acca for Tuesday night and he's been in good form so is always worth a look.
