The serious business of qualifying for Euro 2024 is what this international break is all about for 12 nations competing for the three remaining available spaces.

There's six one-off semi-finals tonight ahead of three one-off finals on Tuesday.

Of all the teams in the play-offs, Ukraine came closest to qualifying automatically. They were denied a 92nd minute penalty in the final match against Italy, which finished 0-0, to leave them level on points but four goals worse off. An impressive performance considering all four ‘home’ matches were played on the road in four different neutral territories.

Tonight they’re in Bosnia-Herzegovina who struggled in Group J. They picked up just nine points, six of which were from clashes with Leicetenstein, to finish 5th in the 6-team group.

At 19/20 the Ukrainians, with the likes of Zinchenko, and Mudryk as well as Girona’s Dovbyk and Tyshkanov, should be too strong.

Luxembourg could be on the brink of an historic qualification for a major tournament and shouldn’t be written off at 4/1 in Georgia.

The Georgians have a talented squad, spearheaded by the excellent Khvicha Kvaratskhelia of Napoli but they disappointed in Group A, finishing fourth with just eight points (six vs Cyprus).

The sides last met in 2018 when Luxembourg won a friendly by a goal to nil. Arguably tonight’s visitors have improved even since then. A tally of 17 points was hugely impressive but 9-0 and 6-0 defeats to Portugal highlighted an underlying vulnerability still apparent in the Red Lions.

If you don’t fancy the 4/1 on the away win Luxembourg can be backed on the Asian Handicap +0.50 at 2.025.

Cardiff City Stadium should be bouncing as the Welsh aim to make it to yet another major tournament. The Golden Era may be waning but they’re just two wins away from making it to a third successive Euros.

A win tonight will set-up a winner-takes-all clash with either Poland or Estonia back in Cardiff on Tuesday. The stakes could hardly be higher.

Opponents Finland finished third in Group H with an impressive 18 points which included a 2-0 win over qualified Slovenia. They eked out wins in Kazakhstan (1-0), Northern Ireland (1-0) and San Marino (2-1). Arguably Wales are a step up in class but it’s likely that the Fins will try to keep the home support quiet for as long as possible.

Wales have had the upper hand in recent clashes but the last meeting ended in a 0-0 stalemate. Eight of the last 10 games between the two nations have finished Under 2.5 Goals but that pays just 1/2. Instead look to first goal market where it’s 5/6 that there’s no goal before the 35th minute.

Can see this game getting a bit feisty
    Bosnia red card 11/1
    Ukraine red card 11//1
Longshot . Both teams to see red 90/1
Considering its 7/2 for a red card in the match these odds are worth a punt
Same bets with Paddypower are 6/1 13/2 and 50/1 . Massive difference

No joy overnight in US Open cup with them both trebles falling by 1 goal, but all in all a good day. Just had a look at tonight’s matchups with a lot on the line and I think I’ve found two really good value picks tonight. Wales are nowhere near as good as they were and even with home advantage I’d be surprised if they didn’t struggle tonight against an average Finland side, likewise with Greece on paper they should get the skin done but could be a struggle in a tight affair getting over the line, the kazakhs with everything on the line are surely worth a goal at generous odds. Anyway good luck Wales tonight I will be watching!

FINLAND to score 4/5 NAP (Hills)

    KAZAKHSTAN to score 11/8 (Hills)

A match penalty taken in all 3 29/1 (Hills)

No luck sick as a parrot tonight Kazakhstan not scoring cost me £2400 . NAP lands🍺👍
