TODAY at the Monte Carlo Country Club sees Andy Murray, Rafa Nadal and Novak Djokovic scheduled to make their tournament bows and the Scot has a comfortable-looking opener against Edouard Roger-Vasselin.

The pair have met on one previous occasion, which was at the Australian Open last season when Murray was a comfortable winner, and it's hard to see anything other than the same again today.

Last year Murray came out and hammered Viktor Troicki 6-0 6-3 in his clay opener and having won Miami, the Scot is sure to be ready for this.

Vasselin has done well so far this week in not dropping a set in three matches in qualifying and in the first round against Robin Haase but doesn't have the weapons to worry Andy.

I would expect Murray to win this something like 6-3 6-2, so the minus 6.5 games on the handicap looks the call at around 2.32

It's hard to see Nadal being troubled by Marinko Matosevic, although a 7.5 game start for the Aussie looks generous if he can serve well, but Djokovic looks to have the toughest match of the three stars against Mikhail Youzhny.

The Russian has a decent record against Djokovic from a few years ago but looks on the slide at the moment and I would expect Nole to win in two, however the ankle has to be a concern for short price backers.

Recommended Bet

Back Murray -6.5 games to beat Roger-Vasselin at 2.32

EnoughSaid, because you’re going over old history. This is a subject that’s been addressed and explained time and again. Milesey’s from Betfair and is providing us with some of the tips put up by them. I’m posting up ones I feel people might be interested in and at the end of the day more are winners than losers. I work full-time for the Daily Record so have a limited time to write up tips, etc and people here have been asking for European football, racing, darts, golf etc so what Milesey’s doing is providing that service.

Jamesy, it’s one reason these tips are put on the site. Right, my game is off tonight. Dug’s happy, going and walk and instead of Arthurlie v Clydebank I’ll be watching West Ham v Man Utd instead. How sad.
