The capital club have made a slow start to the season under new manager Wouter Vrancken, having suffered heavy continental defeats to Sturm Graz and Benfica.
On top of that, Hearts were on course to win their opening Scottish Premiership game of the season last weekend before suffering a late collapse to lose 2-1 at Aberdeen.
Dundee United, on the other hand, were more than worthy of their 1-1 draw with Rangers on the opening night of the campaign, and they look well placed to grab at least one goal in Gorgie.
Motherwell To Score 2+ (Sunday, 15:00)
Motherwell will be targeting back-to-back wins in the Scottish Premiership when they welcome Falkirk to Fir Park on Sunday afternoon.
The Steelmen got their top-flight campaign off to a winning start last weekend, coming from behind to beat Hibernian 2-1 at Easter Road.
Falkirk, by contrast, endured a disappointing start as they slumped to a 2-0 defeat at home to St Mirren last Saturday.
The Bairns were fortunate not to concede more against the Saints, and Motherwell can make their greater quality count by finding the net at least twice on Sunday.
Hibernian To Score 1+ (Sunday, 16:00)
Derek McInnes will take charge of Rangers for the first time in a competitive fixture at Ibrox when the Glasgow heavyweights host Hibernian on Sunday afternoon.
It’s been a shaky start for the new Rangers boss, who saw his side held to a 1-1 draw by Dundee United before being defeated 2-1 by Jagiellonia Bialystok in the first leg of their Europa League third-round qualifier on Thursday night.
Hibernian, meanwhile, fell to a 2-1 defeat at home to Motherwell last weekend, but they bounced back with a 2-1 victory over Shkendija in midweek.
The Hibees hit the back of the net twice at this venue towards the tail end of last season, and they’re more than capable of striking at least once against what looks like a brittle Light Blues backline.
