No team has knocked Liverpool out of the FA Cup more often than Manchester United and the Red Devils are eyeing an 11th success in the competition over their great rivals to add to that stat today.
The famous old trophy represents United’s last chance at silverware this season and the bookies make them 7/4 to book a place in the semi-finals alongside Manchester City and Coventry City.
Erik ten Hag’s men frustrated Liverpool when the two sides met in December, leaving Anfield with a point following a drab 0-0 draw. They also won when the sides last met at Old Trafford, a 2-1 win thanks to goals by Sancho and Rashford when everyone had written them off.
Liverpool come in to the game off the back of a stunning 11-2 aggregate win over Sparta Prague in the Europa League. Sandwiched in between was a 1-1 draw with Manchester City and prior to that it took a 99th minute winner from Darwin Nunez to secure the points at Nottingham Forest.
With Liverpool at 3/4 to win the value could lie with the hosts who are even money to avoid defeat on the Double Chance market.
If Chelsea ever needed a warning ahead of their cup quarter final with Leicester City then the Sky Blues of Coventry City served one up on a plate yesterday.
The Championship side stunned Wolves in injury time to eliminated the Premier League side in dramatic fashion and there’ll be thousands of Foxes traveling south expecting to do the same.
But they’ll need to do it without top scorer Jamie Vardy who has picked up a knock and they’ll need to improve on recent performances that have seen their lead at the top of the Championship cut to one point.
Chelsea have blown hot and cold this season but it feels like progress in being made by Mauricio Pochettino and the goals have been flowing with their last three matches featuring 14 goals.
Nicolas Jackson has scored in each of the last three, Mykhailo Mudryk has weighed in with a couple and Cole Palmer continues to be a threat from midfield.
That superior firepower should help Chelsea book a place in the semi-final draw.
Celtic regained top spot in the Scottish Premiership with a routine win over St Johnstone yesterday meaning it’s over to Rangers to respond today.
The Gers’ European run was ended by Benfica on Thursday but Phillipe Clement’s side must put that disappointment behind them quickly ahead of today’s lunchtime kick-off at Dundee.
Dee have scored in 11 of their last 12 outings but Jack Butland and co have kept a clean sheet in 10 of 14 on the road, so goals bets are probably best avoided.
James Tavernier continues to be Rangers’s biggest goal threat, albeit from the penalty spot. Rangers’ captain has scored five goals against Dundee, four from the spot and is 2/1 to add to his 17 goals already scored this season.

Heading to Holland for my single today where Sparta Rotterdam are hosting Ajax.
Ajax are massively underperforming this season and seem to be leaking goals when on the road. Their last clean sheet away from home was back in September, 16 games ago. While Rotterdam are not prolific in front of goal I do feel they have just as much chance of scoring as anyone against a team that has struggled so badly. They have only failed to hit the net in 3 home games this season.
With btts o2.5 at odds of 10/11 im more than happy with this as my single.
Not sure about anything else for today but I may place a second single too
Roma should be way too strong for a struggling sassuola today and I think we could see a minimum of 2 goals. I will take a different route for better odds and take a chance on Roma to score in both halves 5/4
Good luck all

Liverpool getting shorter in the market 8/11 b365 7/10 skybet. Should get the job done even if Hojland returns, hard to see United outworking Liverpool.
Of course you should get the job done not rocket science to predict that
So what’s your point! It’s a football tipping thread.
The point is it’s obvious macca
My apologies deano sorry for posting my thoughts, off to the game anyway have a good day👍
I’m also there mate 👍
Just booked and paid to go to America in the summer to watch the famous reds against Arsenal and United. Gonna be hot 🥵.
A nice 5/4 winner yesterday. Looking forward to a long summer when we get into the proper action of championship. Today I like the look of Down to beat Westmeath in this Division 2 League game. Both sides look best placed to be Division 2 teams in 2025, but it’s Down who have been taking teams apart as Conor Laverty’s influence on the group has begun to show in his second season in charge. Westmeath aren’t firing like their promotion rivals and I expect Down to cover the -1 handicap.

Freiburg-Leverkusen ended 2-3?
🤔
Was meant to say nb, if you see the original post I corrected myself in comments, btts no was over even money
Got to say I thought Klopp got that totally wrong with his subs. Liverpool went from total dominance to total disarray after the changes. So wasteful second half too. Tell ya, if the Saudis are still offering £200m for Salah I’d be selling him. He looks totally disinterested at times. Gakpo is chronic too, hopeless.
I thought united played well for half an hour before Liverpool took over. Klopps subs were awful as was Liverpool’s finishing and that allowed united a chance. Salah was hopeless and even nearly missed his goal, if the Saudis are offering 200 million for him then Liverpool should grab it as fast as possible
Get a job as a football manager then . ffs
It’s an opinion Cocker. And one a lot will share. Klopp is a genius, but today he got it totally wrong.
Bar Trent and Konate, that was Liverpool’s strongest 11 and should easily have been taking care of that Man U lot.
Inter over 1.5 team goals, PSG over 2.5 team goals, BTTS Atletico v Barca, Sporting Lisbon win and BTTS acca 16/1 Boylesports 👍
Hope the famous reds fare better in America than they did in Manchester!!
Win btts trixie for the evening;

Inter 2/1
PSG 6/4
Ladbrokes.. All three pays 26/1 and some change, BoL
Man Utd played ok they deserved the win FairPlay to them. As for the faring better in America they are just friendlies it’s more of a jaunt really just like when we went to Singapore and Australia. Can’t believe some of the comments on Mohamed Salah one of the most consistent footballers for the last 6 years and just coming back from Injury. Unbelievable.

Atletico v Barcelona

Montpellier have received multiple bookings in 7/9 matches. PSG have hit four or more corners in their last 19 games. Tonight’s ref averages 3.2 yellow cards a game.
In Spain, there have been 26 yellows and two reds in last three H2Hs. Ref in charge tonight dished out nine yellows in Copa clash between the two sides in December and followed that with 10 yellows in Barca’s match at Athletic in January.
Good luck
